First try in Tian Jin cuisine – especially breakfast / brunch. Saw some online reviews, and they recommended the lamb noodle soup and the tofu soup. I dont normally eat lamb, but their lamb noodles is to die for. The soup is so full of lamb flavor and umami. Will come back again.
came here after a delicious meal, the place is located in thefood court of a mall, wasn’t really hungry but planning to round up my trip with another round of good bites. so came here and ordered something different a tianjin zhian bing. which is sort of like and omelette bread or something like that with green onion. the flavour is what i’ve expected the portion is quite big for an appetizer, the flavour is definitely alright nothing to rave about but more green onion will bring a better flavour i think. but definitely something i haven’t tried but wasn’t surprised at all. will try the noodle next time mangkr.wordpress.com

Excellent!. We zipped up to this food court for a quick bite to eat after an exhausting grocery run at the T&T’s on the ground floor. While the others were foraging for their own meals, I looked around to check out what stalls had line-ups. Then I noticed that the table of hip twenty-something foreign students at the next table had all ordered the same meal in the same red baskets. I looked over to O’Tray and noticed they had the same basket, so I wandered over and ordered the same thing: which turned out to be a soft tofu soup and egg crepe. Really excellent. The soft tofu was hot custard in a thick steaming broth of chili oil, sesame and scallions (though I’m guessing here). The crepe was also hot off the grill, with a lot going on – some sort of crackling wafer inserted into the eggy crepe with green onion and some chili sauce. This was really something new to me, and only about 3 dollars per item! Highly recommended. Small caveat, the food court is pretty dark and scuzzy, so you’d better be there for the food and nothing else!
Home food!. I was super excited to try this place out since I’m from Tianjin and I was really looking forward to eating a childhood favourite: Chinese crepe (.The crepe was almost exactly as I remember it: a thin, soft and warm pancake topped with an egg, seasoned with scallions, black bean sauce, and wrapped around a sweet crunchy cracker. If you haven’t had this before, I strongly recommend it! The soft tofu soup was really good as well, as a previous reviewer mentioned, it was full of soft tofu. I was really impressed with the condiments that came included with the soup as garnish– they’re traditional (and tasty!) condiments that one doesn’t come across in westernized Chinese food restaurants– a true testament to the authenticity of this wonderful food court joint.
