I’ve yet to have bad service or a bad waffle from Rainbow and at a competitive price compared to whats on the market now. Always crunchy on the outside and soft and warm inside, also the old lady is really nice.
Very dissappointed in parker place Rainbow Cafe. The lady gave me a re-heat bubble waffle and bluff, if you don’t believe it’s new, I’ll return your money. I said please give me my money back. Never ordering from there again. Just dissapointed how a once good bubble waffle place became dishonest in there business ethic.I pay for an order for$3.75. There was an order that was there all flat and cold on top of the bubble waffle machine. She ask me to wait 6 min. I stand across the store. She put the bubble waffle in the machine to re-heat. I can tell cause they didn’t use the scrapper to scrape the overflow egg batter and the waffle was already flat. If it was new you need to cool it under the fan but then it would not be flat.
The bubble waffles here in my opinion are the closest to what you’ll get in Hong Kong. The crispiness of the waffle seems to not be achievable at other places i have tried! Im really happy the maker is able to get the inside chewy and the outside crispy!
Very Bad Service. I came to this place for bubble waffle since I was young. Bubble waffle here has been good. But to my amazement – when I was buying bubble waffle the other day – I saw them put an old existing bubble waffle back into their machines. As I was buying, I told them I did not want an old one and that I wanted a new one . The old one looked a bit dark and burnt. They lied to me and said it was new… they then asked me a second time if I wanted it or not. I declined their offer. After declining, they did not take my money and shooed me away. REALLY BAD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE as they do not care about their customers or the freshness of their bubble waffles.
Bubble Waffle. I’ve been coming to this cafe since I was a kid, and their bubble waffles have never failed to impress. Everyone has their own taste for bubble waffles, theirs are crunchier than the average run off the mill cafe. They’re very crispy on the outside and spongey on the inside, and have a balanced sweetness without that horrible artificial vanilla flavour a lot of other cafes have. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve had their BBT, and I remember it being average. The owners are an old Cantonese couple, and they are very polite, friendly and make the bubble waffles right in front of you, all of them are fresh. As soon as you place your order, you get a number card, and they will ring a bell and call out your number for you to go get it. They are relatively fast, even with a big crowd I have never had to wait more than ten minutes. $3.50 for one egg waffle, so the normal price, or even a little cheaper than most places in Richmond. Definitely go give it a try, it’s well worth it.
This place has the best eggballs by far! I love getting it fresh and warm when it comes in that paperbag. The eggballs have the perfect crispiness to the edges and the desired chewiness in the centers. A perfect after school/ work snack. Have not found a better tasting eggballs shop yet in Vancouver! Or Richmond per say.
