This is a really great place near YVR if youre craving some Shanghainese food. The service is a bit lousy and its a bit loud because of the small space, but the food is really really well done and decently priced for their portions.
The food was delicious and as a tourist I went there twice yesterday. The first time I dined at the restaurant and was served well. However, the second time I ordered to take away one bowel of sesame glutinous rice ball at around 8:23pm . I had an unpleasant experience. The female receptionist took the order with an contemptuous attitude and a cool face . Just like the money I spent was less and no tips could be obtained. Besides the delicacy is important, the service is also essential for the reputation of a restaurant. This young lady should be trained again and didn’t look down upon anyone.
First time in this restaurant. The food was good. The food was warm and just spicy enough. Didn’t know what to pick so I tried the fried shanghai noodles with chicken.
First time here since they relocated. Felt food isn’t the same anymore but it does the job. XLB’s are not as juicy as they used to be and their pan fried dumplings were dry. Service wasn’t great either..besides bringing food to our table that was pretty much it. We had hot and sour soup and they didn’t even bother portioning it out for us. Not one of my first picks for Shanghai food next time around…
