Sweet Memory Dessert is located on Leslie Road in between Hazelbridge Way and No. 3 Road. It opens in the evening. It has a very unique interior decoration. They serve you Winter Melon Tea in a giant silver pot. Their homemade glass jelly was super refreshing and delicious. Finally, an authentic Taiwanese dessert place in Richmond. Food: Must Try!Service: Price: $20-$30 for twoPresentation: Parking: Would I Return: YesExplore the menu: glass jelly , Marshmallow with Chocolate Sauce Toasted over Thick Milk Bread, Taiwanese Stewed Pork on RiceTips: accepts cash only opens late would be a good place for late night gathering

This place is amazing from their savoury dishes to their desserts!I had the turkey on rice and the pig intestine with thin noodles; they both were like a flavour bomb exploded in your mouth. As for their dessert I would recommend their jasmine jelly with taro balls; so smooth and refreshing but not too sweet.Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decoration here on top of their amazing food! I will definitely come back to try their other foods.
I used to enjoy grass jelly out of a can, but after discovering this place, I can no longer eat canned grass jelly. The grass jelly here is seriously to die for, and I have been craving to come back ever since. You must add taro and yam balls to your grass jelly (especially if you are obsessed with QQ foods like I am.) The portion quite big; I actually packed half of it home and it still tasted good the next day. I also got the classic Taiwanese braised pork rice () and this didn’t fail to be satisfying. This classic dish contains some animal fat along with minced pork and an egg. Mix it all together and it’d bring you comfort in all ways possible.Other than the menu, I was also very impressed with their interior design and details into creating a Taiwanese street feel. It brought me straight back to Taiwan and those who know me, know that I love street food. Whenever I have a longing to be back on the streets on Asia and pigging out all the delicious street food, this is the place to be at for now. I’m trying to think of one thing that they can improve on, but I’m having a hard time. I love the food, the desserts, the traditional old school street feeling, and oh, they also played Teresa Teng’s music. 🙂 secondspls.blogspot.com
I am absolutely in LOVE with the interior design of this place. Although the design isn’t like a scene from Taiwan (which would have been cooler), it is decorated with lots of typical Taiwanese symbols and motifs. The tables themselves have a very traditional style to them too. The decoration made eating much more enjoyable. The price of the items is very decent. You choose a bingsu(traditional was around $9 and the passionfruit was around $11), and then 3 free toppings, including fruit balls, yam balls, red bean, pearls and power cake. I did not enjoy the power cake at all- would not recommend- and I’m personally not a fan of yam. I wish they put the toppings on top of the bingsu, rather than at the bottom, to make the dessert look more aesthetically pleasing. That would have improved my rating. The passionfruit bingsuwas definitely much better than the original one, which just tasted like sugared ice.Definitely check out this place if you are nearby for the decoration!
