First off, the service was not good. The cashier was on her phone and ignored us when we were right in front of her, and I had to get her attention.We ordered two teppan beef rice dishes, along with the iced matcha honey drink and a coffee, but when I received my matcha drink, there was no ice and had no honey flavour – it just tasted like room temperature, slightly sweetened water. The coffee was just alright. Onto the main dishes, it was flavourless. There were no spices, no zing of flavour, plus the pans weren’t sizzling hot, which meant that the beef was still raw and pink on one side, which was fixed by burying the meat in the rice. Overall, I’m disappointed in the service and the food. Why call it iced matcha honey when there’s no ice??

I loved the idea of the food coming out on a hot sizzling pan and being able to see the meat and food cooked in front of your eyes, it was almost interactive. Who said playing with your food isn’t fun? The food itself was great, i enjoyed the flavours and it was definitely filling. I feel like this is as good as it gets considering its food court food, so based off of this I likely would try it again.
tried their peppercorn steak, and the way they put their food is rather interesting and mouth watering, because you can see the meat sizzling in the hot plate, and so now, in terms of the taste of the steak, i’m a little bit dissapointed at the thickness of the steak, it’s almost similar or atleast it felt like similar thickness to a hamburger patties from mc.donalds however it does taste a little bit better and more pronounced, and the steak is definitely hmmm okay, not as good as it seems/visualized, and in terms of the fries, it was awesome actually Iove how the fries have and extra layer of crispiness outside.overall just okay, rather pick the chinese food in the food court next time better value for the money 🙂 mangkr.wordpress.com
Great place to grab a quick meal at Aberdeen Mall in Richmond. The food comes sizzling hot in a stone plate. The food is delicious here and they are super quick! I also tried their fries here too and is really delicious! We usually go to Aberdeen for a quick meal and teppan kitchen never disappoints. Its delicious and super satisfying. domoiscraving.com
