  I have passed by this restaurant last week and saw a long queue and decided to give it a try..ordered mussels, clams, snow crab legs and prawns..and have chosen the sauce which was mixed all three sauces that they provided on the menu..overall the sauce tasted great but too salty..which covered the freshness and sweetness of the seafoods..and personally don’t appreciate the mess from eating it with hand and sauce get everywhere..oh and I think it’s a little bit expensive with the portion they provided..

  Waste of money. They’re signature creole flavour ain’t authentic. This place tastes like a Richmond bath. And the restroom was disgusting I couldn’t go in there to wash my hands even before eating. Had To use restroom in restaurant next door. Wish we went there. Looked like decent chicken next door. If ur in the area don’t waste ur money on this poor option.

  I made a reservation. Got there on time with my girlfriend. They gave me a table which my girlfriend and I cannot even sit face to face. Asked for a better table and they did sit us at a booth. When we were ready to order, they asked us to go back to the first table. I did not make a reservation to sit like this. I was unhappy but because of the food, we decided to just move. The waiter came and took our order. When we looked at the time, it was after past 20 min after the order was taken. We kind of thought something was not right but because they were busy, we just thought that our food prep was taking long. We gave ourselves 10 more mins. So after 30 min of waiting, we asked one of the waitress and surprisingly enough, our order was never put in to the computer. We just walked out. I would never come back to this place.

  Went twice this week. Loved my first experience but the second time was pretty disappointing. There was hardly any sauce on my bag of shrimps. They need to be consistent with the amount of sauce they serve with their seafood. Boiling Crab is so much better. I wouldn’t order the Crawfish either since there is hardly any meat. Would I go back? Definitely. Staff is friendly and I enjoy seafood! Just wished they were more consistent.

  I visited the Captain’s Boil for their lunch special which includes two different seafood teppan plates, each includes 2 crawfish, 2 mussels, 2 shrimps and 2 clams. The two options are chicken teriyaki or fish teriyaki. My friend chose the chicken so I thought I would just get the seafood option since it’s a restaurant that specializes in seafood. These specials only go till 4pm everyday then they just revert back to their original menu with the boiled seafood in the bags. Our sizzling seafood plates resembled a hybrid between So Crab So Good and Pepper Lunch and I’m a huuuge fan of sizzling plates so I was pretty excited upon seeing this option on social media. Their bibs are much cuter than your regular bib and each table is equipped with a bib per person, a pair of gloves per person and a roll of paper towel. Service was phenomenal; we were treated with water as soon as we sat and the waitresses were very attentive. Now let’s talk about the taste. Because my fish teriyaki was composed of fried pieces of fish, they served my plate separate from my seafood since there was all the sauce that came along with the seafood. I was pretty excited because everything was very hands on (must be my inner child). After finally mixing everything together, the first couple bites were DELICIOUS. Super flavourful, the sauce wasn’t fishy (unlike So Crab So Good) and the rice was nicely crisp at the bottom since I left it sitting for a while to snap some pictures. However, as I kept on eating, I realized that the sauce was mostly just oil (I ordered with the Captain’s Boil sauce which is a combination of all 3 of their sauces combined), and it started to sit in my stomach pretty fast. The fried fish pieces didn’t really have much fish meat in it and resembled fried dough more than fried fish. I also had a chance to try my friend’s chicken and it tasted much better than the fish so I would definitely recommend the chicken instead. The crawfish didn’t seem to have much meat and my plate only came with one clam and one mussel. I didn’t fuss about that too much since I was actually pretty full after finishing the rest of my plate (mostly from the oil though). After finishing, my friend and I didn’t feel too good for the rest of the day (again, probably just from all the oil in the sauce that soaks into the rice). I ended up eating just that one meal all day and being perfectly content with not eating for the rest of the day. I do know that Captain’s Boil is international so there has got to be something luring all the customers back but hopefully they will make a new sauce that will be a little less oily so I don’t end up feeling sluggish for the rest of the day

  Taste wise it is ok, however I am not sure if they are too oily or the seafood is not fresh, I got diarrhea after I had their seafood every time, 5 tries already. I had to stop using myself as experiment lol
