An old Richmond staple known for its spicy chicken nuggets & other Taiwanese street food. staples. The bruv T and I decided to switch things up and get the honey chicken nuggets. Which were… kind of disappointing (OG spicy can’t be topped). We had stir fry beef & the kung pao chicken (the latter was delicious!). Overall, nothing particularly outstanding but definitely far from bad. 3.5/5
Their are lots of choices on food and their foods are so yummy! Kids friendly tooWe love ordering the chicken nuggets soup noodle, deep fried fish cake or they called it tempura, make sure u ask to add the basil leaf as well. I love the wheat germ milk tea with bubble and their regular bubble green tea. The dumplings are great too., and the green onion pan cakes. My kids love to eat there as well, and they willing to split the drinks into two glasses for my girls to share without extra cost. Will go there almost every week
We came to this restaurant because a friend recommended it to us, and the only reason we went was because my husband wanted bubble tea with food and Pearl Castle was closed for renovations! This restaurant had a dark and dingy environment with no music, and disgusting washrooms. After we were seated, we waited 15 minutes before we had to wave down a wait staff to order because there was absolutely no service. The food came and disappoint ensued to say the least. Bland soups and over salted fried rice. We had to order hot sauce to make the food palatable, but even so, the wait staffer forgot and we had to order it again! Mind you, this was pretty early and the restaurant wasn’t filled at all.Bubble tea came and was a disappointment as well, as it was too sweet and processed. I ordered a grass jelly milk tea, and the grass jelly was so broken down that it look as though it was almost blended into the drink. My husband’s coconut milk tea didn’t taste very fresh either. All in all, we won’t be coming back.
Nice, clean and comfortable place, it is good for gathering and chatting with friends. Good typical Asian food symbolizes Chinese various cultures such as Taiwanese, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Especially, really like the milk tea and fruit green tea. Fruit green tea is my favourite, which is tasting freshly. I’ll be back definitely!!!
Cute little Taiwanese place, that is perfect to stop in on during a rainy day like today. Environment was clean and spacious, presentation of food was decent, service…. well lacking. Typical of Asian spots like this where you have to flag down a server to spend money on their items. Portions were decent, prices were okay also.
Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was not busy. Ordered their chef special 3 spices chicken as a combo so it came with the side dishes and rice. The dish came out in a stone pot. It was filled with the tops of chicken drumsticks, lots of ginger, basil and green onion. It was delicious and full of flavour. My boyfriend had the beef soup noodle and we’ve been searching for a good one he likes and he gave this one a thumbs up. He liked the soup and the noodle was thick just as he liked it. Service was descent as there were 2 servers on the floor. The only concern is parking as there’s limited parking outside. I would definitely come here again.
My boyfriend and I had lunch here. We were seated immediately as the place was almost empty. I ordered the fried chicken thigh (under snacks) and pudding milk tea, and my bf got the fried chicken nuggets with rice. We got our orders shortly and I was surprised to see that my chicken thigh piece was huge! It was only $6.50 too! It was so delicious. Very tasty, well cooked and fresh. My bf loved his food too. The service was good. Our server was really nice and attentive. The price is great! Very affordable for good serving. Lastly, the place is very big. It’s a nice place to hangout with friends but it does look a little out dated. I’ll definitely be back!
