With that many Shanghainese restaurants in Richmond, I am not particularly impressed by this one. All their fishes were pretty standard. Not bad, but kind of mediocre.

July 14, 2017I went there for lunch with parents today. I was so disappointed, while I go into restaurant. Because of I saw the video from their no. 3 road branch. The new branch look high end and pretty to me in their video. BUT IT’S NOT!! it’s look like hong Kong cafe to me and their menu is not much selection as the old branch. I really don’t know what can I order, when I look at their cheap brown paper menu. I tried to order something new.. no wonder .. not pack on their first month opening… with bad attitude waitress. Their table still wet and sticky , after the man cleaned the table… Their chopstick look old wooden color… omg..It’s end up… my parents ordered: Drunken chicken — half size as their no. 3 road branch with same price?!Beef wrapped —- cucumber more than beef with not crispy cold wrapped outside.Steamed shanghainess dumpling — the skins too thick and warm, not hot.Pork ribs noodles in soup — big portion of noodles in soup with spinach on, but pork chop was extremely oily and driedChives dumplings — extremely oily with eggs more than chives inside, smaller than old branchThe lady who gave me the bill was so rude, while I tried to pay with my credit card. I had already told her, I don’t understand what she tried to say.. she just ran away and threw the machine to my table. WTH?!It’s end up .. I paid cash to the manager.. I saw them.. tried to set up 4 cameras for taking video and pictures from us and from their restaurant, while we try to eat. I thought the new branch will better than old branch… but it’s still the same… time to find another good shanghainess restaurant.
