The most memorable part of this experience was the rudest waitress. She acted very inconvenienced to be asked for a menu to order food. Never checked on us once. We had to track her down to order food. She seemed offended by that fact. Never come here if you simply want to enjoy yourself. Funny that friends have also reported on similar experiences with rude staff no matter the time of day or size of the group. Don’t waste your time. Way better bars in the area that actually want you there.
Had one of their blue cheese BBQ burgers with beer fries and it was one of the best looking and tasting burgers I have ever had, staff was friendly had a red haired server that seemed to know about everything on the menu. Their craft beer selection is amazing if you like pale ales try Old Jalopy from Powell st.
How does the taphouse have a rating this low?! Their food is awesome! They have a great chef he makes a special eggs Benny for brunch on the weekends that’s always out of this world. Their hollaindaise is my favourite from any other place. I don’t think there is anything on the menu that I actually don’t like and I live nearby so I’m there a lot. They have really great happy hour specials that start again after 9pm. Nightly entertainment including an incredible musician on Tuesday nights who takes requests. Do you know that they offered me a blanket, A BLANKET, once when it was cold on the patio? Their management is incredible, their employees are great the only issue I’ve ever had is on holidays when it gets too busy it’s tough to handle because this place is so popular. I love that every night I go in something different could be happening. 2.2 rating? People must be high off their asses. This place is awesome the responses from the staff who comment on this site are an honest reflection of how great my 50 – 100 meals here have been.
Well I thought this place was going to put it together but I guess I was wrong ! After two bad experiences I must say it seems to be going in reverse. I don’t get it! A nice place that can’t seem to be consistent.if I owned this place I would want Quality at all times at any expense. I see these kind of places gradually go downhill until everyone involved can only shake their heads and say why? Too bad tap house!!
They make good food. I’ve been here a lot recently for lunch and was surprised to see such a low rating. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu and have to say I’ve only been disappointed a couple of time. They use high quality ingredients and their side salad is probably one of the better side salads I’ve had in a pub like atmosphere. I would recommend the taphouse melt and the cajun chicken pesto past and the meat lovers pizza. You can’t go wrong with any of those. The service is so-so, it seems to vary from day-to-day. But if you’re looking for a good place to watch some sports and have a quick bite I would recommend.
I was not going to write a negative review about this place until I realized a couple of days after that they forgot a pickle – something they advertised with the meal. Sure you might think I am crazy, but that was the kicker for this review. I thought it was just the waitress, but no, there is a larger issue here.Service: Absolutely nothing welcoming about the service. Our whole table of 14 felt uncomfortable with her mood and tone of voice. Maybe it was a bad day for her, but the fact that she was arguing with my friend’s bill, proclaiming that he had two beers instead of one ticked most of us off. In the end, she was wrong and did not even apologize for it. Food: Above average for a place with bar food. Some inconsistencies with receiving certain items on my friends’ plates.I hope Taphouse understands the idea of a network effect. You displeased 14 people that were new to your restaurant. We cumulatively know at least 50 people who will now talk about our experience.
Good place to go for a beer after work !!!!!!Great pizza and the staff is pretty good. The place has a nice vibe. My only issue is that one night I sat on the patio with some friends and watched the security staff harass people over and over again , didn’t matter if the people were 20 or 45 !! Wayne get your security staff to start treating your potential costumes right!!! This ain’t the old mirage ! I have never had any issues with security so I am just writing about things I’ve seen . Again great place ! (Minus the security)
