Love hanging here on a sunny day, watching the river. It’s laid back and relaxed. Never had a problem with service. Food is always good, excellent pizzas and burgers. Sometimes I wish their menu was a bit bigger and changed more often, then we would go more often. But we give it a couple weeks and go back and it’s great again.
Terrible service, been many times (just live around the corner), but it takes forever to be noticed even when it’s not busy, then they leave a menu and say they’ll be right back, try 20 minutes!! Then another 5-10 minutes for the beer!! Its too bad, great beers, good pizzas
Guaranteed good time.. This place is fantastic. My husband brought me here two years ago and assures me that thirty years ago it was just as character filled as today. They have a fantastic beer selection that is elceltic and well varied. It changes on a weekly basis depending on what they have and the waitresses are knowledgeable on what is on offer. Recently we asked ‘what is new from when we were here last week?’ And our lovely waitress gave us the low down. Food is pretty good. Pizzas and special fries 10/10 but the wings aren’t as good as the sister pub mission springs. On the whole – a gem that will be a factor to think about if we ever decide to move from the neighbourhood.

Great food and beer selection!. The Billy Miner is an absolute gem. It has an odd location so not many know of it. Once we found this place we have not stopped going back. The beer selection is pretty impressive, food is excellent (try the poutine), and it has one of the best atmospheres around.A few downsides. The building is quite small so it can be difficult to get a table sometimes, although this adds to the unique environment especially when they have live entertainment! Service is absolutely horrible. It is not uncommon to walk in, seat yourself and wait a good 5-10 minutes before being noticed. When she finally comes over, she makes you feel like you are an inconvenience to her. This can be a real downfall for such a great place. We strongly considered not returning a second time for this reason. We now know it’s a regular thing there so we don’t get too worked up about it. We also get our bill immediately after eating, before being asked for another drink which is only hurting the tip. Despite the service, we highly recommend giving this place a try. Just don’t take the service personally and you will have a great time!

Your manager is the person who that comment was for they’re who said we weren’t welcome at your pub.29 Sep, 2014The Billy has been my favorite pub/ restaurant in maple ridge for the last 12 years. During that time we’ve had countless celebrations there with all our friends sometimes filling the whole bar and never had any problems always had a good time. My wife recently called to book for reservation for my 30th, she was told the biggest reservation we could get was 10 people, the person at the billy said they no longer take big reservations because of people like us. People like us? Like the people who have been loyal customers for years? Sorry for bringing you so much business over the years we won’t be back. This place was once a real neighbourhood pub, not anymore. Cheers
Went here this evening and our server was awesome. Extremely friendly and knowledgable about all the beers. The food was delicious and a great value. We will definitely be returning to this little gem!
