Worst meal I’ve had in a long time what a way to spend Father’s Day! Philip get it together! Terrible service terrible dinner small portions and the price is way too high!
Food is ok but not only does service comes with a bad attitude, the lady owner is dishonest when it comes to honoring the discounts advertised. For instance, we ordered takeaway to be delivered and apparently they advertised there is a small discount for takeaways, and she even confirmed that over the phone. When food was delivered, the delivery guy said no discount and if we wanted a discount we had to call the owner again. Obviously we didn’t bother. Second time, ordered take out and went to pick our dinner up, paid in cash (advertised a 10% discount if ordered above $20 and paid in cash). She tried to avoid the question on my discount when I paid in cash as I asked for the receipt. Then she stapled my receipt to the take away bag and told me my order had to be over $20 in order to receive a discount. I checked the printed brochure she had on the counter and told her I’ve ordered over $20 before GST. Disgruntled, she took some loose change from her cash register and returned me. When I got home, I realized, she even overcharged me with one of the dishes I ordered. If you want to eat Chinese food, please be careful and check through your receipt in future and be sure they honour what they had advertised. This lady owner had been trying many times not to honour her promotion. Imagine what they do in the kitchen just to save an extra buck. Not very ethical people.

Great food!!. I have been a patron if this establishment for about 20 years. I have tried other Chinese establishments but none could compare to the ocean village. Our favorites; prawn and scallop with black bean sauce, vermicelli, spicy salmon, prawn or scallop, lettuce wrap, orange spicy beef and dry spicy ribs bone in. We also order the many chop suey dishes. The customer service is second to none, alwYs available to ensure u have a enjoyable dining experience. Phillip is a fabulous host, again ensuring you have what u need. I would rate this establishment a ten out of ten
Dont even waste your $$$$$$$$This place is the Worst chinese food Ever!!! Ordered prawns , tasted like 2 weeks old/ very stink. Stopped eating after finding a blob of hard jelly in my prawns. Threw the entire dinner out in the middle of dinner
Uses old oil. Picked up an order of chow mien, fried rice, s&s chicken balls and 2 egg rolls and everything tasted like rancid oil. I phoned to inform them and spoke with a man who was very difficult to understand and said because he didn’t know me he would do nothing for me…. then hung up on me!! Also, when we picked up our food we paid cash and had to tell the older lady about the 10% discount for pick up orders.NEVER AGAIN
Totally disgusted. So I decided to order from this place and have it delivered.The girl who answered the phone spoke great English and took my orders with no problem and she said it will take 30 minutes delivery time.5 minutes later, this lady with the worse English ever called to confirm the order and I could not understand but okay.30 minutes later, the delivery boy called and said he are almost done making and was confirming address?!?60 minutes later, the delivery boy called again telling me he was lost around the area and was not sure where my place was.I ordered.1. Honey Galic Pork – The most soggiest food I had ever in my life, the fried outer layer was watery and the meat inside was low standards went straight into the garbage after two bite.2. Steamed Chicken with green onions – chicken was old and overall overcooked with a very bad sauce3. Broccoli and scallops – one of the easiest thing to make, but the scallops they were using must of been expired because never tasted scallops of that nature before.OVERALL Don’t order from here!
