I have been to almost every sushi place in Maple Ridge and this is without a doubt the best, most consistent restaurant.Consistently built rolls, consistent quality, fair prices. Plus they do delivery, so really they’re the best. I’ve had every roll on this menu and they’re all consistently good. I really hope they keep up the quality and I hope the popularity of this restaurant won’t decrease the quality of the food(like some other restaurants in Maple Ridge).
Well, this restaurant would get a 5/5 hands down, as the food is delicious, some of the best sushi I’ve eaten, if it wasn’t for the small venue and lack of service staff! It’s probably my favorite local sushi place, but unfortunately the service is lacking. Takes forever- from seating to ordering to getting drinks and even take out takes longer-told 40 minutes and it took 50! Please Shinobi- move to a bigger venue and hire more staff! Clearly your food deserves better service!
The service was really great. I tried the aburi and the spicy seafood yakiudon. I enjoyed the yakiudon but personally I would’ve preferred to order the aburi separately versus get the combo. I’m not a big fan of tuna so that’s why I didn’t think it was the beat deal for the combo since you only got 6 pieces and I got spoiled from trying the aburi at miku and sushi Loku.
I have had Sushi at many different places and I usually find that after going elsewhere, it only makes me appreciate what is in my backyard even more. There is a reason why Shinobi has won best sushi restaurant in Maple Ridge 4 years running. The SPICEY SALMON SASHIMI is at the top of my favs list, followed closely by the HOT NIGHT ROLL. They have new menus and have recently added many new and original rolls to their repertoire. MISS KIWI ROLL is most notable. Shinobi is truly a great family restaurant with something for everyone. Props to Christine and Victoria for their great service and making our family’s dining experience special every time.
This restaurant has fantastic cuts of raw tuna and salmon!! The place is priced as expected, and the vegetarian options are not the greatest. Ordering for pickup has been a struggle overtime, and I’ve been there many times because the fish is so good. What I mean by struggle is waiting for over 10 minutes minimum no matter how late you arrive. That can be difficult with little kids.
One of the best in Maple Ridge. This is probably top five sushi in Maple Ridge. And they deliver! Which is so awesome.
Good food but the wait is ridiculous. My family and I have been going to shinobi for a few years now however have now adventure elsewhere because the wait is just ridiculous. We usually order to pick up and every single time we have ordered its has been at lest 25min longer then what they told us. I understand they are popular but waiting over an hour and a half for pick up is just frustrating! The food is good nothing special the owners are very friendly, but when you have a family to feed you need accurate pick up times and wait times which this place does not give. We are over shinobi and will be going elsewhere from now on!
