I’ve been ordering from them for about 7 years. Sure, it’s not gourmet nor trendy fusion Chinese, it’s standard Canadianized Chinese food but very good at that with good friendly service.Love their Hot and Sour Soup and their Peking Style Sweet and Sour Pork is a nice change from standard S&S, kicked up a notch with much better sauce than the standard fluorescent red goop.Good sized portions… good prices.
Lunch. Went there for the first time for lunch. Not only was the food fantastic, the quantities were huge. My mother in law had the $5 lunch special and it overflowed her plate. I’m a bit of a Asian food snob and their food rivaled any of the better Vancouver restaurants I’ve eaten at, plus, free parking. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed/

Amazingly delicious!. We absolutely loved our dinner tonight! We were very pleased. The ginger beef was the best we have EVER eaten. The sauce is made in house, very gingery, spicy kick and very very good. The meat crispy yet tender, NOT chewy! The owners were very friendly and nice to chat with. We highly recommend trying this restaurant. It may not be the prettiest or most aesthetically pleasing However the food spoke for itself!
Loved it!. It was the best Chinese restaurant Iv’e been to. Their food is so good, and the customer service was amazing. it felt so homey and it had that friendly restaurant feeling. i highly recommend it to all the people that loves Chinese food.

Told me they INTENTIONALLY cook bland food. We ordered over $50 of food and it took over an hour and a half to arrive at our door (less than 5km from their restaurant). I called when it passed the hour mark and they told me they left with my food over ten minutes before so it should be arriving at my door very soon. When it did arrive, forty five minutes later, I was frustrated and asked the delivery person what he could do about this length of time. The driver told to take it up with the owner- and that they were very busy that evening. When we sat down to eat- the four dishes we ordered were terrible, bland, tasteless, and over cooked. We couldn’t eat any of the food except for the Wonton soup. Angry as I was with the situation, I opted to call the owner when I had a cooler head and they weren’t so busy. My phone call the next day was even more disappointing. They told me they were busy last night but they try to appeal to the average person who prefers bland food and this was why they put soy sauce in the bag. They told me that I should have added more soy sauce. They then told me that they cannot refund our meal because I didn’t call last night- it was too late now. I will NEVER order from Silver House Chinese Restaurant again. I urge others to find a restaurant that appreciates your business, and doesn’t INTENTIONALLY cook bland food.
