Eating Here For Over 10 Years & Counting. – First, they never mentioned they are AUTHENTIC. Their sign reads Eatwell Noodle Soup. Check the image. So if you are expecting authenticity, and you are close-minded, then I suggest you cook at home.- If you have an open mind, I highly recommend trying their lemongrass chicken. They are the juiciest and best in town.- Their soup noodle has no MSG. I’ve been eating and drinking their same broth for over 10 years, so I would know.
Best PHO out of 100’s in Vancouver. I am a foodie with very particular likes and dislikes, so take my review with that in mind.I am a pho connoisseur and out of multiple dozen pho’s across Metro-van I find this place amazing for specific reasons.AMBIANCE: The place is a hole in the wall, so forget considering this place for a date or night out or something of that sort. Typical Asian Mom and pop shop. Very plain and quite small, with very little decoration. Also does not look like the cleanest place.FOOD: Best tasting broth I’ve had, and it has consistently been the same over the past 4 visits. Most places I find are way too bland. The broth here is darker, richer, and full of flavour. Having said that, it may be a bit offensive to some. Really a matter of taste. I like rich tasty broths, this has it. You can really taste the beef.I am also a big Tendon fan in pho, and unlike other places, they don’t skimp on the tendon. Nice chunky pieces of soft flavourful tendon. Lastly, the Chilli sauce is awesome. I’m not a fan of Sriracha, as I find it lacking flavour. The ‘house’ made looking chilli sauce was tangy and very flavourful that complimented the soup perfectly. Service: Nice and attentive. I asked for more Basil, and they brought me alot more.
Not good.. I went in with my friend thinking it’s a chinese noodle house as the sign just read eatwell noodle soup and whole bunch of chinese characters on it with no mention of being vietnamese. When i read the menu, i was surprised to see its a pho joint. im vietnamese, and this is by far worst pho i ever ate, i couldnt even finish half my plate,my friend didnt like it much either. The pho broth was plain, lacking typical flavors and aroma when the waitress hands it to you, the service wasnt great, waitress rushed for us to order, waitress wasnt too happy we took so long..much better options out there as there are 3-4 better places for pho just around the block at coquitlam center areas. Pho in coquitlam is average , no restaurants stands out. i have to go to vancouver for some really good vietnamese food, coquitlam has b class vietnamese food imo. majority of the joints here will serve a couple really good items, yet the rest of the menu will be lacking or average. i pick and choose between 4 restaurant depending on what im ordering.
Big portions. Good prices. Excellent service. Tasty honest eats. I would come back! Place is a little hole in the wall.
Amazing owners, I feel like family everytime I go in, and the food is always exceptional. Perfect rainy day comfort food.
Wonderful service, good food, great prices. I’ve been a regular here for almost ten years now, and the service is absolutely wonderful. The owners are very warm towards every customer, giving lollies to kids, and I remember Reddy giving kids some pearls if there were any leftover from orders. The food is incredibly affordable, especially for a family, and it’s solid vietnamese food. Sure it isn’t authentic, but it’s still tasty!
Bad service, bad food and dirty place. Was just running some errands around Coquitlam/Gleneagle area and figured, I’d stop by this place to eat, ordered 3 dishes for my friend and I to share, took a few bites, the food was cold, overly salty and just plain bad. Barely touched our dishes and paid right away, 80% of the food was still on the plates. Saw some bugs at the restaurant corners as well as I was heading to the washroom. Dirty place, would NOT recommend anyone to come eat here, I’d drive 5 minutes and eat at Pho 99 or Pho Hoa instead of this Chinese runned joint..
