came here for dinner, since we’re in coquitlam my friend recommended me this place, so then, ordered a couple things, and wow the portions is humongous!!! are you kidding me but the flavour is over flavoured as well for most part. it’s like some stuff like the sausage, and grilled meat is like overpowered with sodium. and other than that the taste is okay, but again it’s okay because they also use a handful of seasoning enhancers, well sodium is part of it as well, but overall it’s hmmm very suprising in a lot of ways, the cream soup is good, but the rest went downhill. price wise okay just because of the portion. mangkr.wordpress.com

This place has a no outside food policy. No. Outside. Food. Did buy a $6 coffee before you came here? Sorry, you’ll have to throw it out. Is this a movie theater? Are they operating in 1950? Get a clue M Cafe. Don’t get me started on the service / attitude of the staff.

My family and extended come here and the manager had the nerve to tell us drinks from outside are not allowed and I said well then put a sign up because all other Chinese restaurants wouldn’t have a problem. Everyone knows you can even bring alcohol into these joints. He wouldn’t let up and so I had to drink in my car. If they had good coffee I would buy from them but they don’t. Never coming back to this place again!

The menu is really confusing because there’s way too many dishes and types of cuisines to choose from. I ordered the double boiled soup with hot clay pot braised beef tripe, brisket, daikon and rice combo. It was quite tasty and the soup had chicken feet, peanuts and papaya, similar to how my dad used to make it. The hot clay pot beef was pretty good but needed more time for braising because the daikon was still hard. Overall, it was a decent meal. My husband ordered the seafood linguini and there was a good portion of fresh tasting seafood. It actually tasted better than the seafood linguini from the Old Spaghetti Factory. I ordered a House Special Noodle for take out for my mom and she said it was very tasty but portion was kinda small compared to other places. It came with a hot drink and she got the HK milk tea.

Stopped in for dinner on my way back from a weekend at Cultus Lake. It was a Monday evening and the restaurant was not busy at all. The restaurant is large with a very modern decor. They also had plenty of monitors in view and they had the Olympics on which was nice.Service was prompt and the waiter came back with the beverages almost right away. Typical of most Hong Kong style restaurants, most items come with a hot beverage. It was well made and consistent with I expect.Since I was by myself, I just ordered a roast chicken ho fan. I had never heard of this before and decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it was excellent! They stir fried the ho fan noodles perfectly and topped it with some veggies in gravy and a roasted chicken chop. The portion was also very generous, though I do believe I could get a similar portion of noodles cheaper in Richmond. If I’m ever in the area, I will come back.
