I’ve been to Matoi twice now. The first time ai had sashimi and thought it was delicious! Serving size was borderline small however I’m a big eater. Second time I went I just had classic rolls including California and dynamite which were just OK. The service was great though!
Nothing special – rolls had too much rice, salmon sashimi portion size was slim and the unagi-ten roll that cost $6 something only came with 4 pieces! was disappointed by the high rating for this place.. left still feeling hungry and ended up ordering noodles at hon’s next door.
The worst Sushi ever and I’m not picky but the roles were Giant too much rice felt like the ingredients were cooked from ladr week and thrown in there. Never again am I going back. not only that but the price was steep which led me to think that it was quality
This place is the best japanese restaurant I’ve been to. The sashimi is fresh, portion are generous, and price is very reasonable. I wish all japanese restaurants were like this
Yeah.. This place is the best. Lunch special is an insane value with great variety. Sushi is very good and the hot dishes are fantastic. The Katsu don is unreal. Great prices and service is the best. #1 place to go for lunch in Poco
Matoi sushi is a Japanese/Korean couple owned sushi restaurant. Their dynamite roll has 2prawns in it and it’s the best! They have quite a huge variety of fish and also kitchen dishes. Very busy store so better to make reservations. I highly recommend.
Ate there with a group of friends, got my food after everyone at the table was finished eating. Very basic, nothing special, will not be returning
