This was our first time to come here for Japanese food. When we stepped into the restaurant, we saw all Caucasians. Both servers and customers were Caucasians. We were surprised that there were not Asians or we might not see them who sat at the corner. It was great that the chefs and people who worked at the back were Japanese as we could hear that they spoke Japanese to each other. We ordered some tuna and sockeye salmon sashimi, British roll, scallop chop roll and crispy crepe. All of them tasted fresh, delicious and awesome! We had no complaints about the food. The customer service was great as well. A server gave us warm and moist paper towels to clean our hands before meals. We were surprised. The servers also kept checking on our table to make sure we had enough water, if the food was good, and if we required anything else from them. The only thing we did not like was the air conditioning. It was on and we felt very cold in the restaurant. We were wearing dresses. The cold air made our legs and feet very cold. It was quite uncomfortable when having dinner there. We were guessing if it might be because of the warm weather outside or if the restaurant had to ensure the sushi and sashimi were being kept in a cool environment.
Worst Japanese restaurant ever.I heard many good things about this restaurant and finally had a chance to try. What a disappointing!Stepped in the restaurant, it seemed like pub. I heard this one is running by Japanese but nothing Japanese there. Server, white boy has no idea about the items on menu, can’t answer my questions at all. First dish took 40mins don’t understand why. B.C roll is rock hard and didn’t even use the salmon skin, must be fried day before. It was so hard. Tried some fresh oysters and sashimi, that night I had diarrhea and my wife too. This restaurant is over rated. There r so many good ones out there in Coquitlam. Won’t go back of course. I had to go to all the way to Coquitlam center to eat shit.
