Great coffee, creme brle is phenomenal and the food is good. You wont be pampered here, but its not that kind of place. Its quiet, casual, intimate and all the staff are always nothing short of absolutely lovely. The food is 4/5 using other places around town like Olo and Brasserie as a 5. The menu choices really are beautiful and I have never been disappointed by a meal here. They used to have hand stuffed dates on the menu stuffed by the (owner?managers?) mother that were other worldly but last I heard she was no longer able to make them.

Incredible staff and the most beautiful patio which welcomes dogs! We need more places like this in our lives. Service, flavours and ambiance are all outstanding!

The family meal was well prepared and filling. There was more than enough food for the four of us. Highlights were the ham and mustards to start as well as the smoked shrimp inside the cold esparagus soup. For the mains, the duck breast stole the show. The skin was seared to perfection and the au jus to pair was complex and complimentary. The salmon was also cooked to perfection as well. The pasta dish was Ok, nothing special. Service was good, however I would have liked to see the service less rushed.

Came to brio cafe while on vacation. Loved the atmosphere inside – warm and comfortable… We ordered a penne sausage ragout and the wild salmon (1/2 orders) and everything tasted delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The Pate was good but the main course was too small.

Owner is a pompous ass….. The owner may have thought he was being charming but he fell far from the mark My salmon meal was good. My husband’s steak (full order size) was so small he left hungry. Will not return on our next visit to Victoria.
