I do NOT recommend The London Chef. They are extremely over priced and are quite horrible at catering. I booked them for a 400 person event and it seemed fine at the beginning but ended up being quite aweful in the end.First….they didn’t have enough plates and cutlery for all my guests, not enough food for everyone, didn’t have enough water glasses nor did they fill any glasses with water. Their serving/clearing staff didn’t even clear the tables after dinner so I had to do it with 5 other guests. Dan & Micayla left early during the event….like seriously. They didn’t serve all the food…so half my guests didn’t eat…wtf. Then they didn’t have any coffee or tea…WTF. Also not enough dessert or dessert plates. At the very end…they didn’t even clean up the kitchen properly or outside the venue where they left their garbage so I lost my damage deposit for the venue. They had excuses after excuses after excuses. They are absolutely horrible and I wouldn’t even step near this place in the future. 0 out of 5 in my books.
Still waiting…. I wanted to do a couples cooking class with my boyfriend but was told they are are all the same over the phone so I booked the next spot available for the two of us. They must have over booked so two couples were split up very awkwardly(with no help from staff and no one wanting to split up) we ended up having a random lady with us that we felt very badly for, and just spend the whole time trying to make it so she didnt feel uncomfortable when it was meant to be a romantic birthday gift for us. Granted the food was delicious the whole cooking experience was not worth the money because of how they organized it. On top of all this they didn’t have the recipes printed out for us like we were told they would. And two months later we are still waiting for them to be emailed to us.
The cooking lessons are always informative, entertaining and delicious! Dan is really talented, but doesn’t make you feel like you have to be a ‘foodie’ in order to find the lessons useful/valuable.I’ve also made some purchases from their pantry, the infused olive oils are a great way to elevate any at home cooking and the quinoa salad is amazing!!
