On a snowy snowy day, after a long hike, those 3 large pizzas and the warm greetings by the staff is exactly what we needed. Ordered the Blt pizza, vegetarian pizza and the one wit ham. Only reason for a 4, my friends told me the meaty pizzas weren’t as tasty as the veggie one.

We (senior couple and daughter) were back to Harrison Hot Springs in early-July, and did a 2-night stay at the front-end of its 2017 Festival of Arts. Our stay provided another couple of opportunities to catch some of the tasty offerings at Village Pizzeria, so enjoyed during our stays, and most-recently, back in late-June of this year.Wow, we were sure not alone in wanting to eat there! especially when we went for dinner on the Sunday – my first thought was good grief, theres no way, well have to find somewhere else to eat tonight, they were sure busy! But we ventured in, found all tables full, but one was just being cleared, we moved quickly and grabbed it it turned out most of the other standing customers within the restaurant at the time, were lined-up, making, or picking up take-out orders. Whatever, the place was packed, and certainly busier than we had ever seen. Though still busy on the Monday, the whole tone was definitely more subdued. The staff were doing a great job, under all the pressure, to keep up, and provide service to the tables. Not sure how they did it Sunday, but they did, and what turned out to look as if we should have left, was much-enjoyed, truly-helped by their fine efforts. We had the same server Sunday and Monday, and were able to reward him for his efforts. Plus, I was able to shout our appreciations to the owners (J & J, both working so hard in the kitchen each time), when settling our bills, and received some warm smiles from Jason (as he paddled pizza from an oven), and a greeting & handshake from John, who was closer, and able to come over to see me (we had met them during our June visit). The food ordered (and shared) was both familiar, and new to us it was well-presented, and despite the stresses-of-the-times, preparations were as good as ever! The familiar: spinach salad (fresh, crispy, and tasty), honey garlic wings (so moist, tender, and tangy), medium Harrison Special pizza (a big favourite of ours), and baked lasagna (cheesy and tasty, one of Moms favourite dishes). The new-to-us: caesar salad (fresh and tasty), and small Hawaiian pizza (mostly the daughters thing!). Yum! everything looked and tasted so good, and was thoroughly-enjoyed.So glad to see the restaurant doing so well high-marks to the new owners for their great efforts.

We had a Chicken Teriyaki pizza and greek salad. It was a unique taste for us. The pizza dough was pretty thin and light, the cheese was fresh. The service was quick! As they advertised on their window, they are a takeaway restaurant so do not expect a full-service restaurant 🙂 They should have restrooms tho!
