Daughter and I knew KingPin Lounge only from stopping in for a couple of beverage breaks during walkabouts – the first last year, and the latest when we arrived for this quite recent stay in Hope, and found some time before we could check into our lodging.After that visit, we decided it could be the venue for dinner this first evening of our stay, and found Mom was all for it. So as a threesome this time, it was another walk back to KingPin early that evening. Daughter and I enjoyed another round of the same cold draught brews enjoyed earlier, and Mom an iced water. But where was the food menu? The owner came over, and without going into a lot of detail about what they did, or did not have, offered to prepare a platter sampling of what they did have, along with their famous fries. We did not really know what to expect, but sure liked/appreciated his offer, and went for it.Im sure I heard three, rather loud wows when he brought the preparations to our table!! On the platter – meatballs, jalapeno poppers, chicken wings, slices of roast pork, and several dipping sauces – on the side, a basket of fresh, home-cut, potato fries. Such a flavourful and tasty offering!! And those fries – the best tasted in a long while!! KingPin Lounge provided some fun, and much-enjoyed food and times during our recent stay in Hope.
