We arrived late in Hope after surviving Hwy 5 (commonly known as Hwy to Hell) Dolce Vita was across the road from our accomodations so as we were hungry decided to drop in. Food was filling, but nothing special

The staff were very friendly… I ordered the Fettuccini al Frutti di mare, which was described as: Prawns, Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, Salmon and Bassa Fillet… What I got was mussels, bassa, possibly frozen shrimp, canned clams, and imitation crab meat; no salmon, no prawns. I will not be back.

Terrible food, fine dining prices. After reading all these positive reviews, I have to wonder if these people are talking about the same awful restaurant I just visited. We originally planned on going to the Home restaurant, but they were lined up out the door. We saw this place from accross the street and decided to try it.The prices are fine dining prices for terrible food. $26.00 for lasagna, $20.00 for pasta. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs.1) garlic bread is grocery store baguette sliced and buttered with butter and garlic chunks. Eh… Ok but nothing spectacular (like a grilled crostini with olive oil and balsamic)2) pasta is low quality store bought pasta served overly aldente. Sauce was incredibly salty and tasted like canned tomato sauce with sauted onions and salt added3)Meatballs were store bought, and rubbery. Pretty sure they were microwaved from the rubbery texture and the fact that they were an even shade of grey all the way around (no browning or caramelization) we couldn’t eat them as they were so terrible. Will NOT go back ever

Great Food. Stopped by this gem on the way down to Penticton, and must say the food was phenomenal. I had the lasagna and it was definitely one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely stop by this place on future trips.

Amazing little gem!. Our car broke down on the #3 Princeton hwy and so we got towed back to Hope because we were only 20 mins away. Got a hotel room and decided to have a late dinner. There were just closing, however when they heard our story welcomed us with open arms. And amazing fresh great tasting pasta and the new-york steak was wicked. We were so happy that we ended up having lunch on the way back from the okanagan to surrey. Great food, authentic Italian style, awesome service, all around great food hub. Will be back soon.

I was looking forward to a nice dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly. Unfortunately the food was not good. Had the veal schnitzel and it was on the verge of being spoiled. Won’t eat there again.
