We used to go to Boat House on our visits to Horsshoe Bay but with the Boat House being gone Bay Moorings is probably the only place to eat in Horseshoe Bay if you want something that is not deep fried pub food or fish and chips.Food is ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. Wine selection is not disapointing yet not impressive. service was flat, we couldnt really tell wether we were happy with it or not. it was just there.One thing we will definitely come back for is the view. The ocean and mountain wiew is absolutely breath taking!

Food was timely and tasty, portions were large. Food itself was tasty, but nothing spectacular. We made reservations day of (Thursday) and we’re able to get in easily. View might have been nice, but we went at night so who knows – the patio looks like it would be nice in the summer.
Lovely place, great food and atmosphere. Portion size is just right and quality is great. Definitely will be back. The view just makes the experience incredible.
Nice view, upscale interior, polite server but significantly sub par food. Went in for happy hour while waiting for the ferry, order chicken strips (low grade frozen chicken), flat bread (didn’t have arugula as described, pecans were raw, and flat bread was cold/chewy), fries (crappy/soggy), salt & pepper wings (with no seasoning) and meatballs (questionable what the meat was). Would not recommend to anyone looking for food.

The food here was absolutely excellent! I and my friends ate delicious meatballs, homemade Lasagna,Spaghetti alle Vongole, fillet of Salmon, eggplant Parmigiana and for dessert we ate a amazing panna cotta! All of this was very very delicious!I recommend this restaurant!After this experience I love Italian food!
I accepted a job offer at Bay Moorings with the promiss of a good wage and a good title. In the process of doing so, I turned down 4 other _significant_ job offers to go be their sous chef.I worked 2 shifts in their kitchen. I watched the dishwasher kneading foccacia without washing her hands after washing dishes for several hours.I was YELLED at for having 3 sets of tongs and a bucket of sanitizing solution next to my station, where I was grilling chicken, fish, shellfish, beef, lamb, pork, and vegtables. The 2nd cook was complaining that when we got busy, i wouldnt have time to use multiple tongs. YOU MAKE TIME. CROSS CONTAMINATION.This same ‘chef’ smokes and returns to work without ever washing his hands.DIRTY KITCHEN!!I spent my entire two days cleaning the plate shelf, the cutting boards, the knives werent washed from the night before…just hung back on the magnet dirty.DIRTY EQUIPMENT!!BAD HABITS!!As a chef of 15 years, Ive never worked in a kitchen that blatantly disregards the health and safety of the customers eating at their restaurant. I would not eat there. And you should not either.I quit.
