This is the closest breakfast joint to my place so I’ve been here a few times in my grumpy morning haze. Twice I’ve had the good morning hash, the first was wonderful enough to warrant another, but the second was bland and highly underwhelming. Upon my third visit I had the huevos rancheros, topped with the perfect helping of fresh avocado, was a great start to my day. The atmosphere is grungy with all the writing on the walls; it would have been more novel if it had been in better condition, a renovation is necessary for this already dark area to liven the place up. The Baileys coffees are great so long as you remind them not to fill it up and ruin the balance. Overall still a decent hole in the wall.
Dont bother going. Hands down worst breakfast joint in Victoria. My food always comes with -raw- hashbrowns, and overall is not of good quality.
I would pass. My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a shot. Unfortunately, it was the most bland food I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Server was pleasant and prompt but the quality of coffee and food was terrible. No music or atmosphere other than some really odd disjointed wall art and grungy writing all over the wall. For anyone wanting to try something new, maybe pass on this place.
Unremarkable. Disappointed with this place. Had a mushroom omelette with hashbrowns and toast. Asked for wrll toasted bread .. It arrived burnt. The mushrooms were good and cooked just enough (too often restaurants slice mushrooms to thin then cook until their black) but the omelette was a bit greasy and also cold as were the pan fried hashbrowns. Not planning a return visit.
It is OK… bennys are just ok, not the best but fine if you are looking for something basic, omelets are greasy and basic, and the regular every day eggs and bacon breakfast is just fine. Prices could be a tad better but overall it’s a alright little spot if you don’t want to cook breakfast for yourself. I find that it is the same quality that someone can cook at home. It is nothing special, I go back knowing what to expect and if I want better quality I pay for it elsewhere. It may be worth checking out if you don’t feel like cooking breakfast yourself and don’t mind spending a bit extra. The bennys are not all that.
Worst place ever. Slow service. Use canned fruit instead of fresh. Who does that? Orange juice is no name from a box, gross. Won’t be back.
Cup o’ joe Cafe. Good food, great service, well priced….Reminds me of Floyds Diner , only cheaper and without the wait.
