Dissapointing. I usually go to Fantastico but I was in James Bay and needed some coffee. I had heard great things abut Discovery and gave them a try. The guy who served me was nice and the music was great (Zep II) but everything else was no good. The coffee was not hot. Warm would be a kind description. If i were at my usual spot, i would have returned it but i just didn’t bother. Also, had an old fashion donut. They oil it was cooked in wasnt hot enough. It was heavy with the outer crust just totally soaked in oil and icing glaze. all i could taste was cold oil and sugar. Not as yummy as it sounds, haha.So ya, not going to go back. Love supporting local coffee shops but not for lukewarm coffee and oily donuts.

Gone downhill. Initially, when this Cafe opened, it served up the nicest breakfast sandwiches. Fresh, toasted buns with a fried egg and a choice of toppings. Yet….The last two times I went, the sandwich was mediocre at best, and today, downright greasy! They have even stopped toasting the bun. So, not worth the price I paid for it. While the coffee is still great, I will not be back to this restaurant.A year later. Met someone here, should have known better. Music so loud could not have conversation.

If I were a local, I would come here often. Great blueberry lemon scone and the vanilla latte was great, though a bit pricey.

Welcome addition to James Bay. I was already won over by their espresso coffee and beans, but the food is fantastic. Great service.

Good but get a new chef. The food is good but hearing the chef swearing and cursing, not to mention banging doors and slamming utensils around ruined it for me, I have been there on two separate occasions where this guy was just on a rampage. So, its good, just steer clear of the tables beside the kitchen!

Fantastic. Second time in and I vote the best coffee and lunch ever!

Go for the meatloaf sandwich… that is, if bacon wrapped and espresso bbq sauce smothered has anything to do with your thing.
