Heads up: NOT for the diner-seeking-big portion comfort-food budget crowd. This is for the localvores and healthies… organic quality over pre-packaged quantity. Prices and portions reflect that. Kinda expensive but very Victoria-esque in terms of healthy, homemade, vegetarian, locally sourced food and an atmosphere full of historic charm! Located in converted character home. Wait to be seated in restaurant or order at counter in back of building. Can sit upstairs in one of the two converted rooms with open tables and self serve cutlery. Menu is simple and healthy. I ordered eggs benny for brunch and was not disappointed. Meal tasted of fresh seasonal garden ingredients. Two poached eggs on bed of sauteed vegetables. Hollandaise is made with raw cashews and very tasty – I did not miss the yolks at all. Portion on smallish size but quality over quantity. I also enjoyed vegan cashew cheesecake for dessert and again did not miss the dairy. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be back. Meal was soul nourishing.

Went with a group of about 10 and we waited well over an hour after ordering to get our food. Now if the food had been great all may have been forgotten but it was unremarkable in my opinion. Left saying I would never darken their door again.

Nourish Kitchen & Cafe is located in a lovely Victorian home. The ambience is warm, welcoming and relaxed. The service was attentive and professional, but not fussy or hovering. The menu was great, with lots of gluten free and vegan options. I had a wonderful lentil and roasted vegetable dish that was flavourful and filling. Others had ling cod, which looked, and was reported to have tasted, wonderful. All in all, it was a really pleasant evening and I look forward to returning.

First time at this restaurant and very pleased with my experience. Staff very attentive, friendly, patient and knowledgable. And the food was delicious. Quality and taste were on point. Loved the cashew cheesecake! Not normally a fan of cheesecake but this blew my mind 🙂 so light and not too rich. Was like eating ice cream. Wonderful. Will return again as I hear you have amazing bennies!

I was recently a guest at a retirement party of a wonderful Victoria mid-wife. Her party was held at Nourish, 225 Quebec St. I am writing this review to give feed back to any future persons that are thinking about hosting a large/private gathering in this establishment. The restaurant is charming but the food was awful. We were charged $50 per person. All that was served was rice cakes, pita wedges, finely shaved vegetables & a beet puree that you had to dig around and scrounge for. They lighting over the food corner was horrible. No one could tell what was on the platter. On rare occasion they would put out a very small platter or meat and cheese. I have never attended a function, especially with that price of admission where the food was so sparse and mediocre. In addition there was a no host bar. A glass of wine was $9 and I waited 25 minutes to get it. There were only 5 people in front of me. They were understaffed and disorganized. Better stick to dining off the menu.

Went to an event here. Food was ridiculous. Curls of vegetables? You can make a lot of curls from one beet! The space is lovely but the food was honestly awful. And drinks took 30 minutes to get! Maybe they just have no idea how to run an event, but I will not be going back. There must have been 60-70 people at the event and the food was like nothing I have ever seen. Don’t book this venue for an event.
