I was at the Powell St Festival and saw this wooden hipster sign in the distance…so I kept walking into a sketchy area of town, but I was so curious about getting coffee in this area.When we got there, we discovered Groundswell Cafe and how they are a social enterprise serving up coffee while helping employ people from the DTES. You can rent their large space for events and they run tons of workshops here like financial seminars to get people back off their feet. Great cafe. foodology.ca
