Ruined Valentine’s DayI’m so upset. We had reservations for Greek Islands for Valentine’s Day tonight. I called last week to see if they were open tonight, as they are normally closed on Tuesdays. They assured me they were. I called back and made a reservation for tonight for my fianc and myself. We arrived slightly early for our reservation and they seated us right away as they were nowhere near full. We were brought to the table and saw a paper one page menu. It didn’t have anything we normally order (we go to Greek Islands once a month), the prices were several dollars higher for the same entree compared to their every day menu, and they weren’t serving the soup. How can you in good faith raise your prices and serve less food just for a holiday?! What a scam!! We left without ordering as they couldn’t accommodate the dish I get every single time. Way to ruin Valentine’s Day.I talked to the owner on the way out, too, and he didn’t care in the slightest. At this rate, I doubt I’ll be back. You just lost a regular customer.
Truly awful. Do not spend your hard earned money here.-meals took 1.5 hours to come out!-soup spoon and steak knife were filthy. Bits of old food still on them.-server was so busy I could not get new cutlery-beef souvlaki was too tough to cut through-my food was soaked in a pool of oil-Greek salad had so much creamy Italian dressing on it it I thought maybe it spilled by accident but everyone’s had that much dressing.-creamy Italian dressing on a Greek salad?-soup of the day tasted like cheap canned soup.-server did not ask how meals were -server brought bills without asking if we wanted anything else-a lady in our party complained that our meals took an hour and a half to come out and the owner did nothing about it. The worst dinning experience I have had.

Date night menu. First time to this restaurant and cant say enough about everything other than I wish I would have stopped by sooner! You know everything is going right when the parking lot is pretty full and the customers are all leaving with leftover containers. The doors open and the aromas are making the choice to stop in even better.Amy introduces us to the experience we are to enter with a suggestion from the wine list that is spot on. The Date night dinner is explained and the food feast is on. I can say enough about my experience with Greek Islands other than this now becomes a spot to visit on a regular basis. This is the definition of a home comfortable dining experience.Lets not forget that the food was hot, tasty and presented to please the eyes. Pricing was a pleasure to my wallet. Under $100.00 for dinner including soup, appetizer, entre and dessert with a bottle of wine. Add the leftover tray for lunch tomorrow… this is why Im coming back!
I went to Greek Islands last night for some last minute take out, no calling ahead I just walked in an ordered. I was greeted by Mike who promptly took my order and got it to the kitchen so I wouldn’t have to wait so long. I had a seat at the bar and chatted with the friendly staff, ordered myself a scotch a minute or so later the bartender handed me a shot on the house which was followed by a shot of sambuca from Mike. My order was ready and they wouldn’t let me pay for the scotch, talk about hospitality! They make you feel like you’re right at home! I’ll be back! Food was great, with big portions and the service was excellent and this place was very busy on a Friday evening.
Terrible Service for Terrible Food. I went with my family for a birthday dinner. … I don’t understand how people can be rating this restaurant as passable let alone amazing. The food was comparable to cafeteria food. The waitress got my order wrong even though I clarified twice. We had to ask for water 3 times and it never came. The food was incredibly bland except for onions that overpowered everything. The entrees came with all these sides that were not good. The food quality was slightly better than Opa in the mall. I guess sit down mall food is what does it as amazing in Surrey?Will not be returning.
Went last night to Greek Islands Restaurant. Service was brutal. Maybe because we were sat at the back of the restaurant. Waited a very long time for our entrees. Waitress screwed up two of our orders. Didn’t check back with us if we needed anything so we just did without. Had to ask another waitress for water and dip. My chicken and prawn souvlaki was greasy but the roast potato was the only thing on my plate that was good. My wife said her baked lasagna wasn’t good at all. My buddy had the roast lamb. Wasn’t cooked properly.Overall the appetizers was ok. Soup was very good. Dinner was poor. Service was brutal. Will not come back to this place.
