Sushi Cali is a decent place for a quick bite of sushi. Although it lacks in quality, the food you get here is very Korean/Japanese fusion-esque and is quite satisfying when you get that special craving.Service is great, one of my former teachers actually works here so I get to see her sometimes. Maybe I am biased because she works there, but in general, the staff here are kind, welcoming, and they work hard to get your food to your table right away.I don’t think I will come to Sushi Cali for quality sushi. I know I can get better fish somewhere else. In addition, it is also a little pricey, especially for the overall quality that they offer. However, if I am in the area and a quick bite is required, I will surely consider this place as one of my options.
My colleague raves about this place so we tried it, it was ok, nothing spectacular but ok. Spicy tuna was too over sauced so inedible. Much better sushi around
Great sushi and a great price. Service is fast and their special rolls are really affordable. Try the crunch calamari roll and the double spicy tuna roll.
came here during dinner, as usual cali sushi used to be my favorite at college, because it was near my college, but as time goes by trying other sushi as well, feeling cali sushi is more like fastfood sushi. it’s not the best quality of fish, but it’s decent enough to satisfy craving of sushi. sauce wise it makes the food better. definitely something to ease craving of sushi. mangkr.wordpress.com
The place is very pretty. They focus on that a lot. All the servers are cute young asian girls and the buildings interior is dimly lit with nice decor, looks like a great place for a meeting or group. The food itself isn’t really outstanding and it’s often very loud. I’d only reccomend it if that’s your scene.
Delicious sushi for a great price! The restaurant is very clean and modern and the food was pretty good. Although I the food has a bit too much sauce, I thought it tasted pretty good. I would recommend ordering their nigiri sushi without any wasabi, they put a lot on my nigiri pieces and it was too spicy to handle.. The service was mediocre and could use improvement but with a crowd this big, and that many orders, it must be quite stressful. Expect a long line during peak hours! Overall is an excellent location and I would highly recommend it.
