This place is amazing. I c…. This place is amazing. I came here the other day for lunch. I had some salmon spring rolls which were cooked perfectly. I also had a tuna dish where the tuna loin was breaded and deep fried quickly, leaving me with the best tuna I have ever eaten. I will definitely be returning for dinner. Compliments to the chef!

Terrible!!!!. Smokin’ Tuna was a favorite last year but it’s been going steadily downhill. My last experience and meal there were awful. It took over two hours to be served. Most of the food was cold and the rice was raw. Also there was no soap in the bathroom. I so hope the employees have their own facilities, but I doubt it. Absolutely unacceptable. Never going back.

Best of the island. OK the service is casual, but the attitude is perfect for the location. And the view is perhaps the most amazing on the coast of BC! Plus the chef has his ssss put together. It is not a greasy spoon, thankfully. I would not mind a greasy spoon after hiking, but to have great fresh food like this is even better. Truly gourmet, and you can even see them harvesting herbs right in front of your for your meal. Excellent for light lunches. Heavenly crusted tuna. and the view! We have been going a few times a year, and really miss them when they close for winter.

AMAZING!!!. Went to Smokin Tuna Cafe with my wife for the first time tonight. It was Prime Rib Saturday and the place was booked solid. Despite not having a reservation the staff made it work and found us a table. The entire staff treated us like we were old friends. Add this amazing customer service along with the stunning view, food that is simply to die for and you will not regret coming here. I still cannot decide what tasted better the prime rib, the tuna, the vegetables, the homemade ice cream sandwiches, the desert trio, or the coffee. Everything was amazing. Thanks for the great night.

This place is one of the best hidden jems on the island, the ambiance and view are second to none. Now lets talk about the food. The emphasis is on fresh and local and they do both very well and still manage to come in at a reasonable price point. The wine list is rather lacking but that is more than offset by a $5 corkage fee. This is the most amazing place to showcase our west coast beauty to out of town guests. Service is friendly and casual. Great for lunch before or after a hike in East Sooke park.

We had a chicken wrap and the sauce that was on it was delicious! Also had a ice cream taster with homemade lemon, fennel, chai and peanut butter ice cream. All were so good! Our favourite was chai but peanut butter as a close second. We will be going back for lunch or dinner very soon!
