Best Breakfast in the Harrison Hot Springs Area. We stumbled upon Jack’s when we went looking for an alternative to our hotel breakfast in Harrison Hot Springs. WOW! Huge food, clearly made from scratch, locally made bread and artisan sausage, all for about $10/plate Canadian. We were delighted. Totally worth the 4-5 miles drive from Harrison back to Agassiz.

Great food, awesome service. Was in the area last weekend for the tulip festival…and dropped by Jack’s just after 12. The restaurant was full with a party of 3 waiting for a table ahead of us. Within minutes, the lobby was packed with groups as large and 8 and 10. Got seated as predicted, about 20 minute wait. Had the burger and fries, it was excellent! The beef patty actually tasted like beef. And the fries were excellent. The service was awesome, just two servers for the whole restaurant! Highly recommended.

Enjoyed lunch at Jack’s.. While staying in Harrison recently (late-May, 2013), we decided to take a break from what we were doing to visit Agassiz, and while there do lunch. We (a threesome of two seniors & daughter) selected Jack’s Restaurant for our lunch venue — from the initial welcome upon entering, through the good food and service provided, we were happy to have chosen Jack’s for this day-visit to Agassiz. What we ordered and enjoyed — for the ladies: it was beer-battered fish & chips for Mom (two large pieces of cod, and fries), and a west coast seafood club sandwich for daughter (a club with prawns, seafood sauce, and etc., served on sourdough, and she opted for a caesar salad to go with it). — for Dad: it was a chicken triple-bus clubhouse sandwich (with grilled chicken breast, on sourdough, with all the trimmings, and I opted for a tossed, green salad to go with it). We thought the food was well-prepared and presented, the portions large (to say the least!!), and the service top-notch. We did our best to finish everything, but still had some fries and a couple of pieces of club sandwich to bring back to our hotel in Harrison for a nice snack that evening. Our visit to Agassiz (and hard to believe, our very first!!), and fun & enjoyable lunch at Jack’s Restaurant while there, provided a nice break during our 3-day Harrison stay. We’re glad we decided to try the two!!

Our friends rave about this place. We went for the first time. Everything is home made from scratch. Home cooking. Very delicious. However, don’t order the ribs. Barely any meat in the bones for a half rack. Everything else everyone else ordered was amazing!!!! The Philly is the largest sandwich I’ve seen in a while. The salmon portion was almost double the portion of any fine dining rest. I’ve been to. The onion rings were made to perfection and the burgers were substantial and flavorful. If you get in for the early bird special, you pretty much get a 3 course meal for the price of an entree. The service was awesome! We were a group of 12 including 6 kids and our food came out in record time and was delish!!

Terribly Disappointing. We were sooooo hungry and were excited when we walked in and it smelled amazing. But from there it went downhill fast. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order and our food took a long time as well. When we finally got our meal it was terrible food. We ordered the Chicken Club and Seafood Club and both were not made like it said in the menu. No secret sauce or any other seafood other than tasteless prawns in the Seafood Club and the Chicken Club was all lettuce and barely any chicken. Both had dried out bread as well. Just terrible all around 🙁
