I had the French onion soup (because they unfortunately ran out of the claim chowder), red bean and green tea ice cream waffles and a cappuccino. The French onion soup was okay, nothing amazing. They could have included more onions but there was a good amount of cheese on there which was a plus. The waffles were disappointing because they got all soggy from the melted ice cream. The red bean was over sweetened and I felt like the overall design of the plating was bad because it was hard to get everything in one bite. The waffle could have also been crunchier. The cappuccino was the worse part of the entire meal. The espresso they used was extremely bitter, you could taste the bitterness in the burnt roast. The service was somewhat slow and not as friendly as I would have liked. Overall cute interior, okay food, bad coffee, I won’t be back.

Shock. I had a coffee and a desert. it was ok the tart base was kinda soft.the coffee is $6 something which is pretty expensive for a about 8oz cup, and it taste not much different, and i was not advice to put any cream in my cup.oh well why do i need to spend that much money and i can’t drink my coffee my own way, the way ill enjoy much more? The server is very nice but the boss looks not happy at all. there was an other customer with her kid sitting next to me. They ordered high tea. Her kid broke a tiny tea pot lid and was asked to pay for it. it makes sense if they charge a few bucks for that but no they got charged for almost $40 dollars, yes that’s right. I was shocked. i didn’t believe the boss will charge them since their stuffs are already expensive.so if you are ok to pay for high price and willing to adapt to their all kinds of policy, its a right place for you.

First timer. Very nice little place, very attentive, great service, great selection of teas and coffees (they roast their own). I didn’t eat much of their food (I had tea) but I did have a macaron, one of those little french thingies. I’ve had many (I’m from France) but this one was really bad. Didn’t taste bad, just had not taste and felt like I was biting into something hard and cold. Should be very very light. I’ll go back but no more of their macarons.

I went to this cafe with 11 of my friends after a huge meal, as some of the wanted a coffee. As they tried to figure out how to seat 11 people, we graciously told them that we could split up and sit at different tables. Then came the craziness, when one of us ordered an Americano. The waiter said ‘sorry, that drink does not meet our minimum amount’, why would a place have something on the menu that does not meet the minimum spending amount??? I did not feel like having anything since i was stuffed but was told I could not enjoy the company of my friends without spending the minimum! There are 11 of us, the place was not busy at that time and I had to leave the establishment cause I did not feel like purchasing anything at that time! Very poor customer service and I will never go there again!

Real coffee. Coffee is a western culture. But this cafe is owned by Taiwanese. My friend thought it shouldn’t be a good coffee place. But she admitted that the coffee was really good. This is my second time there. I ordered the Kenya AA – a syphon coffee. This is the first time I had black coffee and actually enjoyed it. Next time I should try their Kopi Luwak. It sounds very disgusting – coffee beans from cat poop. But since some of my friends are so curious about it, we shall try it, even though it’s super expensive.

Reeaaaally good coffee. I have never had coffee this amazing before. There`s no after taste of any kind. I had the Blue Mountain Blend and it was smooth, bold and non of that acidity after taste common in other coffees like the ones from Seattle or Italy. The interior of La Cuisson is inviting with calm classical music and the staff were friendly and clearly proud of the coffee they serve. I also tried their chocolate cake and it was smooth, not overly sweet and went well with the coffee. The only thing is the coffee here is priced a little higher than most cafes but quality coffee warrants the price I guess. We hope to stop in again next time we are shopping in Kerrisdale area.
