Long line up on a Friday night. We were afraid the 4 of us wouldn’t get a table but the staff managed to clean up a table for us. We all got the parfait of different combinations (matcha, black sesame, mochi, rice balls). Overall it’s not bad but I think it’s still a bit overpriced ($12 + tax).

Tried the matcha shiratama float – it was good while it lasted . I really liked the shiratama dango but there were so few of it. And the float is full of ice so half of the cup is just filler ice. Is it worth the price? No. Try the frappe instead. Black sesame shiratama frappe also had the yummy dango but you get a lot more to drink because of the slush texture instead of ice cubes.

Such a delectable parfait with matcha pudding + jelly on the bottom, then layered with whipped cream, corn flakes, warabi-mochi parfait, red bean paste, chiffon cake, green tea ice cream AND syrup. Whew – what a mouthful, both figuratively and literally.Seriously though, probably the best parfait Ive ever had in Vancouver. If you havent had warabi-mochi before, its traditional Japanese dessert thats jelly-like and powdered with sweet toasted soybean flour on the outside. Its a little different than mochi as its made from bracken starch instead of glutinous rice, yet as deliciously chewy. Its an absolute treat and definitely the highlight of this dessert. Pairs extremely well with all the other ingredients
