I find the pork sisig over here is one of the first time to try it, so i have no real comparison on what can be based on a good sisig pork. But base on my first try here i love the taste of sisig pork. it’s like a crushed and sort of meshed pork with a little bit of soft bone in it, and mixed with herbs, and so far, i find it delicious. definitely something that’s quite memorable. but for the price i would say it’s just a bit higher than what i’ve expected. A squish of lemon drops will definitely erase most of the greasiness taste of the pork as well. :)So overall, i would recommend the place for a few items, and something like sisig pork, and it’s definitely something that is memorable, but at the same time i don’t see myself eating here everyday. mangkr.wordpress.com
I went here with my friends for the first time and the service was really bad. We were sat down on a dirty table. The food came late and we got palabok that the smells bad and spoiled. So we complained to the owner. The owner was rude to us instead of giving us a good service, she was yelling to us infront of everybody. I wasnt expecting this to happened. I will never go back there again and i wont recommend it to anyone i know.
Digusting. Im a Filipino and would like to eat my native cuisine from time to time. I went down to Joyce coz thats where my friends told me that there is a goto king in vancouver. I got there at 11:30 a.m. and there were only 2 other customers. All of the tables were dirty. Looks like nobody bussed out the dirty dishes and the lady behind the counter took more than 5 minutes to come out from the kitchen to attend to us. She was chewing something while giving the menu. The service was poor. What i know back home is that Tapsilog means tapa sinangag at itlog. We got tapa, sinaing at itlog. It was not fried rice. I was a restaurant manager back home and i was disappointed with this resto. Never going back there again
Rudest service crew, mediocre food.. Food is mediocre filipino cuisine and they have the most horrible service crew. The woman behind the cash register kept sarcastically yelling at the customers and the other service crew. Don’t go here if you want to have an enjoyable meal. The food isn’t even worth the rudeness. There are better restaurants with better food around the lower mainland.
Worst Restaurant i’ve ever been. Staff were fighting at the back, orders forgotten, menus unavailable and cleanliness is nowhere to be found! I’d rather buy my food at the food truck than come and waste my time here.
Awesome food. Tried goto, palabok, siopao, tocilog, tapsilog, tokwat babs and lomi. Their price is reasonable and serving is way more compared to Filipino resto here in Edmonton.The only thing Im not happy about is the hototay I ordered. Their version is totally diffferent from what I used to …..Other than that …. Great Filipino Food…Hangover fix recommended !
