Both meat and veggie don’t have their original taste because the chef/owner uses a very heavy dose of MSG and preservatives, which is a common way some Chinese chefs do to make customers hooked. But this chef has gone too far. After a meal you’d die for water for the rest of the day. Very unhealthy. Will never go back.
the last time i ate here is around 2 years ago, during around december 2013 ish, and the food that i remember is quite tasty, but it’s tasty because they used pork oil, because once i finish eating usually i can taste the pork oil that was really good on the first bite, like it’s not really obvious during the first bite and till the last bite maybe that’s the time you kind of know that they used pork oil to make the food taste good. well indeed it taste good for the stirfry, and the for the soup base noodle/food it’s pretty decent i’ll say.overall i wouldn’t recommend the place, although it’s good for the a quick eat near the neighborhood but it’s very important to eat something that you like, because your stomach can only satisfy hunger once, and experience something good when you choose it. :)*update came again for the second time this time the flavour that they use to have greasy but good is gone, now it’s more plain and bland.. unfortunately mangkr.wordpress.com
Great food on the cheap. +1 for the dumplings. Handmade on site, and at about $5.00 for a plate. Cards accepted.
Definitely family run with homemade everything. Small, dingy, but fairly good dumplings. Would come again just to support these type of restaurants.
Homefood. The food is good. It taste like a home-cooked food. But service is quite bad, probably because its a family-run restaurant. The daughter of the owners dont serve customers with the right attitude and sometimes dont even serve you. The owner definitely need alot of manners to teach. Other than that this is a good restaurant. Cheers
Decent place in a pinch. If you’re looking for tasty food at a low cost this place fits the bill. Inside the restaurant is super ghetto. I’d suggest take out. Food can be kind of oily but overall I’d recommended at least trying it if you’re looking for cheap takeout chinese
Decent food for a decent price. I’ve been to Joyce Jiaozi and ordered takeout from them a few times now, and considering the amount of food you get for the price, it’s a good deal. The food is tasty but honestly nothing spectacular. They have a fairly good selection of dumplings and noodles. The restaurant itself is a bit run down, but it seems like a family-run establishment so that’s to be expected, really. From my experience, the staff are friendly and helpful. Good place to go if you feel like getting some Chinese on a budget.
