Horrible service. It was my second time going to this restaurant. I had all-you-can-eat hotpot the first time, and this time I wanted to try other things on the menu. I ordered Yang-xie-zi (spicy lamb stew) and a few BBQ skewers. When the waitress brought my lamb stew, I realized there wasn’t many lamb pieces in it. It was just a soup base for hotpot. I felt that the waitress should have warned be about this. I mean who in the world would order a hotpot soup base without ordering any ingredients to add to the hotpot? I asked the waitress if we can cancel a few dishes (that has not been brought to the table) and order some hotpot ingredients instead. She said she will ask the kitchen but never came back. At the end, she brought all the dishes we originally ordered without any explanations, and we were stuck with a big pot of spicy soup base (with no ingredients to add it). In general, poor poor communication on the part of the waitress.
We went here based on the positive rating and because it was a noodle restaurant (we wanted noodles!). It’s in an awkward spot but were pleasantly surprised by the renovated interior. Unfortunately it had changed hands and was a hot pot & BBQ restaurant. The menu is mostly in Chinese so it was difficult to order. Our server was friendly and helped us. We ended up ordering the only noodle dish and a couple appies. Overall the food was salty and very greasy. If you’re looking for hot pot or BBQ this may be the place. I won’t be back.
