I would say a great brunch place overall…Bummer is that you can’t park on EITHER SIDE of the road (but just for now). Plus the location is weird, being around a spy shop, a bus stop, and a bunch of other businesses with no restaurant in sight. But the food is amazing- an absolute hidden gem. I ordered the 2-2-2 (2 cinnamon french toast, 2 sunny-side up eggs, 2 rashers of bacon) which was very affordable, just $9.25. The french toast was the highlight of my dish- not too sweet, yet just capturing the essence of cinnamon. The maple syrup did all the sweetening work. The fried eggs were cooked perfectly. But the bacon was a little too burnt to my liking, although plunging it in syrup made it better (For me, everything goes well with maple syrup!) The peppermint hot chocolate was quite sweet but the sharp mint balanced out the flavors. It was a perfect drink for a miserable, rainy fall Sunday. The only waitress was very friendly and outgoing. It’s a small place but crowds are few. People are missing out!

Service was good, but a lot of loud swearing happened by the cash register the day we went for lunch. The tables next to us heard too, and it was a bit unsettling and unprofessional. Also, the place smelled a bit like wet dogs, especially near the kitchen. Food wise, it’s over priced for the amount of food you get for your money. Nothing really special. The food was uninspired and kind of boring.

UP – Decent benny for the price and the service was nice.DOWN – Not the largest place so it looks like it could pack out pretty quick.OUT – Although the brekky was good, I think I’ll continue the search for that end all breakfast joint in this area.

really fresh and taste good. Though the table was a little bit small for seven people, all dishes we ordered were delicious. The waitress was nice and thoughtful.

Awesome for classic breakfasts. I’ve been going to 9th Avenue grill for almost a year. I love the cozy and clean interior, however it is a small place so on weekends it can feel reaallly cozy! Food is great. The menu is basically classic breakfast dishes, but there is tons to choose from. They serve organic fair trade coffee which is a huge plus too. My friends and I have a tried a variety of menu items, and everyone is always pleased. The service is good too, the girls working there are very personable. I would definitely recommend this place!

Ordered the traditional Bennie and it was meh. Hollidaise sauce was bland the poached eggs were slightly undercooked and the hash was also just meh not bad but not very flavourful. I will not be going back anytime soon.

Greed Overshadows Customer Service. My family and I were turned away from the 9th Ave Grill because we were unaware of a ‘rule’ that the management had in place with regards to groupons. Cloverdale is over an hour away from this Vancouver address but we thought we would put up with the drive to give this place a try. When we arrived we were told that they did not accept groupons on the weekend unless a reservation was made. We were also told that they would take us if we did not use the groupon. It seemed odd that they would be able to accomodate us if we paid the full price but not with the groupon. Of course, if we paid full price for the meal, we would end up paying twice, once for the groupon and once for the additional meal, not to mention the extra 100 km. and 2 hours of driving time to and from the restaurant.
