This place is a real disappointment. The dimsum is bland, lukewarm and boring. The vegetables tasted like they came from the foodcourt at the mall. I really couldn’t find any redeeming qualities here, especially when there is so many better options nearby. GIve this one a miss.
Free Parking, Nice Environment, Attentive Service and Good Food. As one of regular customer on lunch time. I would like to say that Bashu Sichuan Restaurant provides fine dinning setting and good food in reasonable price.
Dont waste your time. Waited over an hour and a half for food. Watched as tables around us that had been seated 40 min after received their food before us, including dishes that we had ordered… The waiter apologized but denied any issues when asked what had happened. Burnt oil in the chow mien made it almost inedible. Staff was either incapable or way too busy. Sat with an empty tea pot for the entirety of the meal. Chicken content lacking in the deep fried balls, beef a little chewy. Don’t waste your time.
Not too expensive. Delicious Food.. I’ve never heard of this restaurant until I purchased the Social Shopper voucher for it. $19 for dumplings, 2 dishes and a rice or noodle dish, sounded like a really good deal. Unlike a lot of places that offers mini versions of the dishes for voucher holders, this place offered the full plate. It was a lot of food! We got Kung Pao Chicken, Ginger beef, and the fried rice. We also took a look at the menu and ordered a Hot and Sour Soup. Looking at the menu, the food isn’t that expensive as other Chinese restaurants that offer this good quality food. The Hot and Sour soup was okay, but I’m used to more of a sour taste. It had a lot of stuff in the soup which is good. The Kung Pao Chicken was so delicious. We got it less spicy so it was just right for me. The sauce was really good and peanuts were crunchy. It all tasted fresh. The Ginger Beef came in gigantic portions and it was pretty good. The beef cuts were a little larger than what I’m used to, but the sauce was good. The Fried rice was good also – not oily at all, which is a big plus.Service was great. Even though there weren’t many people today on a rainy Monday, the servers were really nice. They would come take the empty plates as soon as possible, and give us new bowls when they brought the soup. When my mom was sniffling due to the spiciness of the soup, another waitress asked if she was okay and if it was too spicy for her.At the end, there was an extra 15% off too. I forgot why, something about Mondays.
The first time and last time.. First time eating here. Dishes came out cold and glazed over and the service was limited. The worst part: we asked ahead of time if any of the dishes we’d ordered contained pork because of dietary restrictions, and were assured that none of the items did. After eating part of a luke warm sticky rice wrap, we found chunks of pork in it. The waiter confirmed that the wraps contained pork but just shrugged when we asked why she hadn’t let us know when we originally asked before ordering. Bashu still charged us for them though.
Limited dim sum. Very limited choices for dim sum and prices are on the higher side. Saw a table with spicy beans which were not on the dim sum menu. Server told me they would make a smaller portions from the dinner menu. Asked another server about the spicy squid and was told it was only available from the dinner menu. I most likely won’t be going back.
Solid dim sum. Came here for dimsum with my husband and two kids on a whim. Excellent location for us (no need for a car!- though there is parking in back). Dim sum was great though we got only the staples (shue Mai, shrimp dumpling, sticky rice, shrimp rice wrap) so can’t speak to the rest of the menu. Very friendly and attentive service. Price a bit higher than other options around but worth it since so convenient and grt service. Will be back.
