Blue sky is our favorite bento box. We have been to many Japanese restaurants in and around the Vancouver area, and this is by far our favorite. The bento boxes are so good…fresh and delicious, plentiful and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great inside and outside seating. Outside super comfortable surrounded by bamboo. Excellent service.
The only positive thing about this placeis theNoodle Box its to die for!! The only reason why I would come here along with the Gyoza …. aside from that I would not recommend ordering sushi… all their prices are WAY higher than the menu on here as its an old menu. I’ve told them this several times and they claim they cant update the menu on here so your stuck paying way more than expected and for the high price on sushi its not worth it at all. too bad
This is the best restaurant in Vancouver. Services is good, food is good, price is reasonable and afforable. What else you expect? Food is extremely healthy. They deeply understand what taste you like, thus they can make food fix with your taste. Quantity and Quality!!! Don’t expect everything is perfect because even we are never perfect. I have been eating at many many restaurant in the world, from Paris, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Luxemburg, Milan, Sidney. Some restaurant, food is jerk but $$$$. This is the best in Vancouver, you pay less, but you get what you want. So, don’t miss it…!!!
VERY BAD FISH!!!. I don’t normally write reviews, but this place was so bad I had to take time to warn other people about. This place has drastically gone down hill over the years. Not sure if it’s new management style or they are just cheap on getting quality fish. My co-workers have had fish bones in their sushi numerous times on separate occasions!! Below is a pic I had to take today. The salmon roll looked rotten! The sashimi is browning at the edge! The tuna had sinew that you couldn’t bite through!!My advice… stay away from this restaurant. It looks like a decent restaurant from the outside with the patio and all. But I can predict that you will get some serious gut rot eating their mutated meats.
Nothing worse than bad fish.I eat a lot of sushi, but this place ranks very low from my experience
T & C’s missing from happy hour. Went this evening for a quick Japanese meal. Service was prompt, I asked the waitress about the happy hour and was told it was currently running. We ordered our food which came out promptly and was very tasty. When the bill arrived we asked about the happy hour offer and was shown a sign not on our table saying there was a minimum spend per head to get the offer. The sign out the front of the restaurant says nothing about the min spend, however these table signs which are on the inside tables have a note on them. We were sitting outside so we didn’t have the sign. yearwiththebook.blogspot.com
Bad service. I have gone here a couple times now and realize I will never go again. The food is not that great for the price and the service is horrible. The lady that always works there is so un friendly, never a hi, thank you, NOTHING. She is so rude and makes you feel like your a bother when you come in. Not impressed.
