Used to be much better. For years I loved Cornerstone cafe–they were a home away from home.But then there was a change of ownership and the new owners are unfriendly and give the most perfunctory service. I rarely go there now as there are many other good coffee shops within a three block radius.

4th year anniversary coming up. I love the Cornerstone. It’s only 2 blocks from where I live, but that said, there’s a coffee shop that’s only 1 block away, and Cornerstone is my regular spot for morning coffee and breakfast bagel. The staff are great – usually they start pouring my dark roast coffee as soon as I walk in. I always have at least one and sometimes 3 prepaid coffee cards on the go – besides getting one free for every 7, it feels more like visiting a friend’s – no money passes hands.As a bonus they wear rather quirky interesting t-shirts. Don’t know why I appreciate that so much, but I do.
