Had dinner several times over the past few months. The food and ambiance are very good. Although the menu is limited, there are several daily specials to add some variety. The service is very friendly and efficient, though sometimes overstretched. Altogether, a very pleasant neighborhood restaurant. Will be back.
Came here for the first time to celebrate my sister’s birthday and was I pleasantly surprised! Be warned that French food is very rich. Great for paring with wine or cocktails! We had a table of 13 and the server was amazing. Even through the busy Friday night rush she was accommodating and quick – service was 5/5! My favorites were the muscles, ling cod, and linguine pasta. Oh and don’t forget about the fresh bread and butter. Wonderful restaurant to celebrate a wonderful birthday!
Enjoyed a lovely meal here at this small bistro on the side of 4th. Not very familiar with french cuisine but I quite enjoyed the food I ordered. The duck from the Carnard Confit et Gratin Dauphinois was very tender and wasn’t the least bit dry. I also thoroughly enjoyed their cauliflower dish, which was warm and creamy. Definitely want to come here and try their lesser expensive lunch menu.

Came for lunch and brunch a few times. The giant pan size pancake was awesome. But make sure it is cooked inside when first delivered. One Sunday brunch I just wanted beef. Not on the menu? No problem. They served me lunch size filet mignon and french fries! Delicious! This is the kind of place where you can ask for custom food. I love the lady who owns this restaurant, she is funny and kind. One time, she even us free home made mint and chocolate popsicles after lunch. The popiscles were so good that I’ve been looking out for the same flavour everywhere. They are unique.
Had a great experience here. It’s a very warm atmosphere, had attentive service, and ate delicious quail and even more delicious duck confit.
Fabulous lunch at La Cigale today! Mussels & fries for me and Pasta Carbonara for Angela. They make everything themselves: sausages, breads, smoked fish & meats, and so on. Brigitte, the owner, is welcoming, open & delightful! Her son Kevin the Chef does it all. Schooled from the cradle since they lived above their restaurant in France.Looking forward to being there on a sunny summer day when they roll up the windows and you feel like you’re right on the street!
