Great place to go. Always busy, great drinks and amazing quesadillas. The patio is ever so inviting in the Summer. Can’t wait to frequent the Local more.
This place is actually as good as it looks with all the people constantly lined up outside. It’s not JUST because of the location. They have amazing food, great drinks, and some pretty damn friendly service. I’ve been here about a dozen times. Last night I tried their veggie burger for the first time. I loved it. It is handmade and loaded with all sorts of grains and oats and who knows what else. I also had an order of tortilla chips and guacamole. I haven’t had guacamole that good since I was in Mexico. I’ll wait in line to eat here again 🙂
Don’t know if I can say I love the atmosphere of this place; I usually can’t hear myself speak over insanely loud DJ music. However, they make one of the best veggie burgers in the city and I’ve never had bad food here. Service is often pretentious and can be a bit hectic/slow when it’s busy. I wouldn’t visit Local if it wasn’t for the food.
Waitress was simply incredibly obnoxious to a young couple. She followed this up by arguing with them about a bill, throwing change at them, then throwing a glass and breaking it behind the bar.
An entirely solid bar experience awaits at the Local Public Eatery. Good drink specials, great bar food, lively music and attentive service round out the package. Come for the atmosphere, stay for the hogies and cheap beer.
Food is good and service is decent. A bit overpriced but it is a great location. Good place to hang out and attracts a fun younger crowd. I’m a local and I would recommend it but it does seem to attract mainly tourists. Overall a good restaurant.
Parking is tricky and service is a bit hard to come by sometimes. But they have cheap wine and fried chicken tacos thay are to absolutely die for. Plus it’s in a nice area so overall good solid joint.
