Great menu for a sports pub. Nice selections on beers. Specials on drinks, wings, entrees. Brunch is nice here. They have live music at night which I love. Very nice pub with alot of space. Has pool, darts, and a Foose table.
UP – Got some good ol fashion strips and fries here which turned out pretty good. Quite a bit of food for the price, but pub quality none the less.DOWN – Music was pretty horrible and they had the Sea Hawks games on full blast as well. Not to mention that there really wasn’t anyone in there, and we certainly weren’t watching.OUT – Nothing over the top special, but I’d be back for a quick bite and a game of pinball.
Whether you’re looking for a nice meal or a fun night out with friends the Manchester can provide! I usually frequent this place at night and it’s usually super fun, friendly staff and great drink specials as well as pool and foosball to keep you entertained. They’re usually great at accommodating large groups. Most recently I came here during the day for lunch and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, the bartender was great at getting us what we needed right away despite him being the only person working at the time he totally rocked it and provided great service. I would definitely come eat here again as the chicken strips I ordered were SO delicious, which is not an exaggeration. Definitely up there on the best chicken strips list.
Went to watch a UFC fight with a friend. The atmosphere was good, the bartender was prompt and friendly. I ordered The Mushroom Bacon Swiss burger. It looked good but was awful. The patty was burnt, the Mushrooms were soggy, the lettuce was yellow, the onions were cut to big. It was a Dissapointment. I’d still would go for the atmosphere but I’ll skip the food.
Great Place, we go here for PPV for UFC/Boxing. Been here numerous times for get togethers. They unfortunately were not showing the Pacman fight the last weekend however recommended us to their sister bar London Pub and they accommodated us (reservations etc). Love the big screens, tv and service is usually pretty good. Menu may need a update soon tho =)
I thought I was in Vancouver. Where do you even begin with this place! The other day a friend and I decided to come to the Manchester for dinner. I had ordered the Chicken clubhouse… that only had 2 pieces of bread! I couldn’t believe how quickly it had arrived, we didn’t even have time to finish our debate on which one of the waitresses was better looking! In an attempt to finish our debate and we are master debaters we decided to stay the evening. We got extremely upset that a pool ball got stuck in the table so we attempted to complain to the bartender who wasn’t having any of it! He just opened the table for the rest of the evening and covered our next pint… like how does that solve anything! We found it impossible to just talk to each other. All we wanted to do was live in our own world like most of the residents of Vancouver. Instead we ended up meeting a bunch of amazingly friendly people including the staff. This place is hands down the worst place to hang out if you have a loner personality like me.03 Sep, 2014Various Pints!. Rotating pints keep it interesting!
Brutal Lunch Service! Will not be coming back!. Came here yesterday for lunch, and didn’t even get to eat because the kitchen took forever with our orders! We came in at 1:00pm (party of 2) to avoid the lunch rush, which was evidently over considering that the restaurant was only 1/4 full (a table of 8-10, a table of 4, two-three tables of 2, and two-three singles at the bar). Our receipt shows that our orders were punched in at 1:10pm, and by 1:45pm there was still no food! It wasn’t like we ordered items that take a lot of time to prepare. We ordered nachos (spread them out on a dish, sprinkle on the toppings and stick in the oven), fish & chips (batter ’em up and toss them in the fryer), and mac & cheese (boil the pasta, add cheese and stick in the oven).During the 35 mins of waiting, we were not approached by any staff to check up on us, or to apologize for the wait and inform us of what’s going on. When we finally confronted our server about the wait, he provided the excuse that they just had a large table, which is completely ridiculous because that’s suggesting their kitchen is only capable of handling one party of 8-10 people. That’s kind of hard to believe. I would’ve liked to see how they handled the lunch rush in the hour before we arrived! (unless of course if it just as empty). We ended up having to get our food to go because we had to get back to work. A restaurant in a business area really should not be open for lunch if it can’t cater to the 1 hour lunch breaks that most people usually get. If the restaurant is packed and at full capacity, then I understand; but there’s really no excuse when the restaurant is only 1/4 full.I feel like I can’t even rate their food fairly as I had to settle for soggy fish & chips (from being in the take-out container). Our server did give us a 15% discount, which basically covered the soda’s that we had.Needless to say, I would definitely not be going back (I prefer to eat during my lunch breaks)!
