Excellent food and service. We drive in from langley a few times a year to eat here. The service and food is wonderful. My whole family looks forward to our special dinners here. This is also the only restaurant my daughter can go to and not worry about anything on the menu. She has a severe dairy allergy and there is no dairy in this restaurant. The owner is very nice as well as his staff
Well we went back and glad we did!The owner reached out to me to ask us to give him another chance after we had a disappointing meal a couple of months back. So the same cast of characters in my family descended upon the Maple Grill with an open mind.The service was outstanding. The food was served in a timely manner and very tasty. I’m very happy we have a quality Kosher dining option in Vancouver.18 Mar, 2013Visited the Maple Grill last night and was not impressed at all. It’s pretty hard to be when your server forgets to place your order with the kitchen and you get to sit and watch your family eat! The whole evening got off to a bad start… Our appy’s took 45 mins to arrive. Then another 20 min before 3 of the 4 entree’s arrived. My son in law didn’t actually get what he ordered (but at least he ate something). Our server came by 10 mins later to inform us that she forgot to place my order and asked if I still wanted it. My family at that point was finished eating so I declined her offer. The owner came by and tried to get me to take my dinner to go. Really?? He took the appy’s off our bill when my daughter suggested he do so. I’m all for supporting kosher dinning options in this city, there are too few and maybe that’s the problem. No real competition and a lack of motivation to provide real solid service. It’ll be along to time before we head back. Maple Grill’s loss is Zatar’s and Sabra’s gain!
Jewish Food mini Heaven!. The best part of the Maple Grill is that it is some good ‘ol Jewish Food, I believe ppl call it Kosher, but just because it’s kosher, doesn’t make it Jewish, and I love me some Jewish food! I also love that options include vegan, vegetarian and meat lovers. The menu is a bit smaller than your average restaurant, but the quality makes up for it.Being a kosher restaurant, it’s important to have a selection of dinner items that don’t mix meat with dairy- and I found the vegan options were endless since the Chef’s were more than happy to accomodate changes in certain menu items. The music was good, ambience was good, staff was friendly, food was served promptly, food was fresh and good quality! I was thoroughly impressed with the lamb and the israelie salad. I was also happy that you had a choice between kosher and israelie style, it was convenient.The flavors were robust and lovely. Good seasoning and presentation was gorgeous and creative!I love the atmosphere and like to even attend some of the entertainment events when they have them.I tip heavy for the quality and always return!By the way, don’t go friday night (usually close since it’s Shabas)
It was a pleasure going to a restaurant with so many menu options as opposed to going to a restaurant where I would have to filter out the menu options I couldn’t eat. Everybody liked everything they ordered. The food was great and the prices were reasonable given that it was kosher and one of the best things about this place is that you’re likely going to see at least a few people and other families that you know which is always a pleasure.

I made a reservation at Maple Grill for a business lunch on the recommendation of a designer friend of mine. I had no idea it existed and it was a delightful surprise. The exterior of the places belies the lovely, stylish interior and overall nice ambiance. Its really a little gem inside. Lunch was pretty quiet but ideal for a business lunch and the food was healthy, tasty and fresh. What more do you want? I’m not Jewish, but if this is Kosher, bring it on! However the food in this place is only half the equation — Elaine, the owner is a pure delight and goregous. This is the type of young lady who you really want to see become a success. The crowd at lunch seemed pretty eclectic, almost what you might find in New York, uptown, and I can’t wait to go back some evening and see what’s up. Such a refreshing change from the typical generic eateries like Cactus Club, Joeys and all those places which seem to be taking over. Truly an individual eatery with a sense of style, great food, delightful owner/hostess, great solid basics menu with a charming touch of Kosher healthfulness.
To those vegans the GRILL in the name might suggest this is not a vegan restaurant. As far as a Kosher restaurants go this is such a lovely change. The ambience is lovely and relaxed, the food is wonderful and there is a large range of Kosher meat and fish. The staff are attentive and the deserts are divine. We will certainly be back.
Vegan friendly?. For a place that claims to be vegan friendly, Maple Grill has remarkably few vegan options outside the salad section of its menu.
