Ordered the Spicy Combo for lunch and it was a terrible experience. Rolls were poorly made- way too much rice per piece and sloppily prepared. Not at all bite size. It does not seem like they care about their quality of food. Honestly have never had such bad sushi in Vancouver. Service was also very slow. My server did not have soy sauce or water for us until we requested. Will not return.
We frequented this restaurant almost weekly for 3 years, it was our favorite sushi place in town, amazing food for a very good price. Unfortunately it is under new ownership now and definitely not the same quality as it was before. The food is OK, fine for the price but nothing special. Also – don’t order online as it’s more expensive, just call in for take-out.
I agree with Idea Rabbit that their nigiri sushi is a disappointment and the price does not justify the quality. I usually order lunch special but one time I ordered nigiri take-out and it was a mistake. They looked so small like little round sushi balls that only filled up half the box. Tamago was the only exception because it was pre-made. Either I got ripped off or everything looks smaller in real life when you see it compared to a photo.
Love it. Consistently great food and service. I love the Temptation Roll and the Happy Veggie Roll. My husband always has salmon maki along with something else. We are never disappointed!
NO Salmon!. What half decent Japanese restaurant runs out of Salmon? This place wasn’t even busy on an early Friday evening. I knew something was amiss when we walked in and the Sushi chefs were sitting at a table eating. I’m sure chef Ramsey would have had some colourful words for the owner if this place was on Kitchen nightmares.
Cute little family run place on Burrard. The portions of sashimi were generous and I would highly recommend The Temptation! Ill be back.
Mazuya sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant in a city known for its sushi-vancouver. The food is consistently fresh and well prepared amazing nice people.
