Ordered the vegan burger and I think that in the future I’ll steer towards the Indian dishes! The burger was a little bit dry but once I added mustard and hot sauce it was quite good. The location is great, right by kits beach with outdoor seating for the beautiful sunny days 🙂 some staff members were friendly and helpful while others seemed to be irritated… overall, a good experience. The vegan vanilla ice cream was delicious as well!
Locally Owned. Love every time I go into Planet Veg both owners are there (mom and pop) They have great prices and you’re sure to be full. You can tell they’ve put their hearts and experience into the menu. Ive been a couple times and am excited to try something new each time I go in. I find the staff very helpful and as I try and stay away from meat as much as possible, its nice to have a vegetarian place close to home. Planet Veg has a decent variety of east Indian food with plenty of choices from rice pots, massive wraps (rolls), salads, samosa, ext.
Always Great. We have been getting take away from Planet Veg about two to three times per month for almost a year now. We always stick with the combo roll deals, my husband gets the Bombay Roll Combo and I get the Mediterranean Roll Combo. The food is consistently good (we are picky!), the service is quick and friendly and I am always impressed that the owners have been there almost every time we have ordered. I would definitely recommend Planet Veg to any one who would like a quick dinner option that is healthy and well prepared!
What happened?. This place used to be a great little hole in the wall blocks away from the beach. I could always enjoy a nice healthy meal that would fill me up. Plus, it would be a big bang for your buck! Sadly, this is no longer the case. I don’t know what happened, but this place has gone downhill over the years. The food is all bland and mine was cold. All of my stuff was microwaved (which I don’t have a problem with – as long as it tastes good) but that wasn’t the case. I am really sad to say that I will not be coming back to Planet Veg.
Tasty food. Lovely people. I just had a wonderful lunch at planet veg. The service was speedy and my wrap was delicious. I over-tipped by a decimal point on their machine and she caught it and pointed it out. You don’t always come by that kind of honesty these days.
Over priced low quality food. The banana lassi was nothing more then a banana shake. The paneer sandwich was looked a sandwich my mom used to make for me for lunch at school. The paneer tasted like feta cheese, also had raw onions and cucumber. That came with a soup that had no taste , felt greasy and spicy. The pakoras were fair but were obviously bomb in the microwave. The Shahi paneer sauce was basically diluted brown water and had no taste. Also came with a cucumber salad that had nothing to do with the dish.
Great food, healthy and full of flavour!. She’s an excellent chef!. The people are super friendly and absolutely kind!
