Pad thai. Thai cuisine has the best pad thai in the city, in my opinion. It is all the perfectness it needs to be in terms of ingredients, presentation, taste and freshness. Don’t get me wrong, the rest of their food is also good! This one just happens to be my favourite. Friendly staff also helps make it easy to want to come back.

Where is the heat!. It would be nice if after ordering five-level.spice you got that rather than was admitted to be three ( spell: bland) because the chef or someone else decided we would not want five, which is stated to be Thai hot. Well, it is a Thai restaurant so if we want Thai spice levels why can we not get that level of spice? Good point for Montri’s: there is not the off-putting sweetness so prevalent in Vancouver Thai restaurants. Point of comparison, however, if you go to Bob Likes Thai Food on Broadway and ask for heat you will GET heat.
Disappointing. Too bad that every thing at Thai Cuisine was so unremarkable. The best thing on the menu was their home made chili sauce, everything else we ate was bland and boring. Too bad about the food, but the service was worse. We waited 10-15 min before some one asked us what we wanted. There is too much Thai competition in Vancouver now, perhaps the chef should have stayed retired
Food was so good but it is unfortunate that the service is terrible!!! The one time the owner did speak to me it was abrupt and rude. Staff seems frazzled, forgetful and we witnessed tables leaving as they were just ignored. Will not return. Too bad as it could be a neighbourhood gem.
