Stellar service. Excellent location to enjoy beachview. Ridiculous pricing for what you get. Had the seafood tower. Fresh ingredients, and quality and taste of food was decent. Definitely not worth 75 dollars. Portion isnt worth it by far. Also ordered the miso crusted halibut with, pepper sauce and seasonal vegetables. Twas a tad salty for my liking. The vegetables were definitely more on the raw side, carrots still had a crunch so i was put off by it. Definitely underwhelmed by the entree considering it was 40 dollars. Disappointed in the quality of how it was prepared. Just a primary flavour of salt through it all. My friend ordered the seafood chowder, she liked it but her croutons were too salty. My other friend ordered the bbq steak and turf, and he couldnt eat half of his steak because it was too salty. Fortunately he received 20$ off his meal. We also had an additional discount to our meal. I wouldnt come back. I do wish them well and hope they can improve their menu and recipes.

The food was rather expensive but It was good. Service was also very attentive and friendly. What impressed me the most was the view from right over kitsilano beach. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Vancouver to go here for some pretty good seafood and amazing view.

We went here during the Canada Day long weekend to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday as well as to check out the new Summer BBQ menu.Because it was a long weekend, the restaurant was especially busy. It was very hard to flag down our server and the service we did receive was indifferent and rude. Also the wait for our meals was excruciating. We waited more than 40 minutes for our food… the only saving grace was the delicious warm bread to tide us over.I ordered the Mussel Steamer Pot (Local BC mussels steamed in thai green curry) . This was not as good as usual – quite salty. But the mussels were for the most part plump and fresh, so I would get this again. We also had the BBQ PLATTER (Slow-roasted pork ribs, bbq slathered chicken breast , bbq prawns)The consensus was that this was a dud. The ribs were tender but that was the only saving grace of this dish. The fries were limp and soggy, the chicken was dry and chalky and the coleslaw was an inedible dish water flavoured mess.We had originally intended to order a dessert to celebrate, but the sub-par food, lack of service and long wait times had us itching to leave after we finished our mains. (not pictured: crab cobb salad, and the burgers)This particular visit was a disappointment for us as long time patrons of The Boathouse. Hopefully our next visit will be better. purplechives.com

Good place to visit if you’re looking for a place with a nice sunset view for a date! My favourite appy of theirs is the popcorn shrimp. You can take a nice long walk on the beach after dinner as well.. love it!

One of my favourite go-to seafood restaurants in Vancouver. I love their chowder, maple salmon, kusshi oysters, crabcakes, and they’re pretty much your seafood version of joey’s or cactus (and a step upI guess) where you can expect standard but delicious food. I’ve been for dates and with friends and the service was always standard as well. However, we went for my sister’s birthday where there was a big group and I understand big groups are always more difficult (but that’s also why there is the standard gratuity) and the service was horrible. The server was rude and kept rushing us. We had three toddlers with us at the time and they were not considerate of that at all.

Location is nice, but the bar was lame! Don’t go here if you’re under 45 and want to have some fun. As a bartender, I was really disappointed!

Food is great, but after the appetizers they totally forgot about us. They kept serving us bread just to keep our mouth shut, they apologize but still I waited over an hour for a my main course.
