Thought we’d give maguro sushi a shot, however didn’t get acknowledged at the door and stood there for about 7 minutes, gave up and left, looks like we’ll never know if it’s the best sushi in Ladner 🙁 vancitydives.com
Maguro’s the priciest sushi place in Ladner, and not worth it if you’re only getting the standard mundane rolls, but if you branch out into their specialty offerings, there they shine. Try: Volcano Roll, Halibut Motoyaki, Crab Motoyaki, any tuna dish.Pass: Any basic roll.
Do Not Honor Gift Certificate. We were in had a meal and presented a gift certificate which was given to us awhile back.. The gift certificate in question has no expiry date nor did it have a date of issue, it did however, have a registration number on it. The restaurant refused to honor it saying that this was issued by the previous owners and that they would not take it. I can’t believe that they would rather have us speak poorly of them and likely for us not to go back to their restaurant over a $20.00 gift certificate. In my opinion, not very customer service oriented.01 Apr, 2015Do Not Honor Gift Certificate. We were in had a meal and presented a gift certificate which was given to us awhile back.. I expect that they likely bought the shares of the company and are legally liable. In my opinion, not very customer service oriented.
We drive from Richmond for Sushi here.Brought guests from Toronto here last night as they wanted sushi, they were very happy. The fish is nice and firm and fresh.Large portions, a little pricey, but a nice change from the all you can eat restaurants.Presentation of their special rolls is very nice.
Best in Ladner. Expensive, but the best option in Ladner. They have great variety and are super-friendly. Ladner+Sushi=Maguro
Horrible knifing. Ordered spicy tuna sashimi and half the pieces weren’t cut all the way through. Such a hack job. Take out at this place has gone down hill.
Beware! Very rude service and watch your bill!. Since it is the only place open later in Ladner we sometimes go for quick take out! The food is decent, but watch out for the total rudeness and watch your bill! Go go is sooo much better!
