Bad Chinese Food. When they first opened, the sweet and sour pork was really good; the breading remained crispy even though it was covered in sauce. I have ordered delivery about 4 times since, and the sweet and sour pork (and honey garlic pork) has always been soggy and overcooked. Also, the fried rice is totally bogus. I think they use fresh rice instead of day old rice; as a result the rice is very moist and doesn’t fry properly, so it just tastes like plain rice with some frozen veggies mixed in. I am not expecting any miracles from a Chinese delivery place; I expect their pork balls to be from a freezer bag, as well as the veggies in the fried rice. But even with realistic expectations this place is a let down.
Food? They have that?. We ordered delivery. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. After an hour, I called and was told the driver had left. We lived about 10 minutes from the restaurant, so we figured food would arrive soon. We kept waiting. And waiting. Another 30 minutes and I called again. The delivery driver was just leaving. What? It’s been an hour and a half! I cancelled the order, got a list to go to McDonald’s, and hit the drive-thru. I got back about 2 hours after I initially placing the Mama Panda order, and the delivery guy pulls up! Never again!

Less than stellar. When Mama Panda first opened in Ladner I was quite pleased with the food, and have been until recently. The last two times we have been there the food quality has gone way downhill. We generally always order the same few dishes. The chow Mein was very oily and full of onions. The beef in the beef and broccoli was so tough it was inedible, and the container has gotten about 1/3 smaller but the price is the same. I used to really like the lemon or almond chicken (minus the sauce) but now it is tough and has an oddly fishy taste. After eating there every couple of weeks we have decided not to go back.
Mama Panda. This is a very clean and tasty, tasting Chinese restaurant. the food is ready very quick, the staff is very friendly, the service is great. I actually feel really good after eating here..Nice place to eat sometime….I give it two thumbs up.
